Room 11 was not renovated & we felt let down. The lounge was placed at the end of the queen bed & trying to watch TV seated on the lounge resulted in having to turn one's head to see the screen high up on a side wall. Very poor room design in this regard. The shower recess was very dirty: mold on tiles & the drain needed a good dose of bleach. The towels we were given were tatty and worn - should have been disposed of years ago ! The outdoor area could have been cleaned from cobwebs and dirt . The outdoor tiles could have been cleaned as well. The figs all over the driveway were hazardous & this area should be swept on a regular basis. Likewise, the gazebo was unkempt and didn't entice one to sit there & relax. The front verge badly needed mowing and the community newspapers that were littering this area needed to be disposed of. This motel is in a beautiful position - within walking distance to the beach - but it appears that little is done to enhance the property and ensure that guests are appreciated and made to feel welcome. If the owners paid a little more attention to detail this place could be a winner. Would not return but hopefully the owners will take these suggestions on board and give the place the due care it deserves, along with...

If I could give zero stars, I would, I didn’t even end up staying here. Upon looking at the photos of these rooms, it looked like the perfect cozy, cost-friendly motel… Was I in for a shock. Arriving to my room, I was appalled by the level of uncleanliness and the overwhelming disgust I felt the moment I stepped inside. The walls were filthy, streaked with grime and speckled with mould. Every skirting board was caked in dirt. The towels (once white) were now a rough, torn and grey. The beds weren’t even made, just a single blanket folded on top, and the bedding itself smelt like mildew and clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned in ages.

The smell in the room was revolting…musty, stale, and lingering like it had been closed up for multiple years. To make matters worse, the noise levels were concerningly high for a “quiet” motel.

When I raised my concerns with the front desk, the woman casually said, “The room is 15 years old,” as if that excused the state of decay. Honestly, the condition of this room looked more like it hadn’t been touched in over 20 years. Entering this room made me feel instantly dirty, like I needed a shower just for standing inside it. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, save yourself the money and...

Clean tidy, place.|Set on lovely grounds with beautiful huge old trees and the old historic Ithica house.|Our room in the motel was nice, clean and tidy , basic layout, with a comfy bed. |Unfortunately the freezer in the fridge was so iced up the fridge door wouldn’t close at all. We told reception but they didn’t offer to help- instead just gave us a bbq scraper to do it ourselves- which we did - spending the next 20 mins picking away at the built up ice.|The air con struggled whilst we were there - the staff just said don’t worry it cools down here at night. It was only in high 20’s during our stay, it would be a major issue in this room with temps in the 30’s. |Onsite Bbq was handy - we managed to cook up some nice steak - but we found there was not much gas left in bottles. |We went to order the cooked breakfast as per their in room guide book. It stated order before 6.30pm. We went to reception at 6pm and were told breakfast orders closed at 5pm so they would not take the order despite their guidebook being wrong/ not our fault. |We had good stay here despite these issues. This motel is let down by management lack of attention to detail- it could be great with some more regular...

Avoid especially if booking the apartment or have young kids/babies Liked · Location Disliked · I had high expectations due to the reviews. It was the complete opposite. It was very dirty. Floors were so dirty I had black feet sand and whatever else stuck to my feet just walking to the kitchen. Not good when you have a baby crawling and toddling about on the floor. It like it hadn't been swept and mopped in weeks. The lampshade was broken and unsafe. No bathmat, cold water showers. Funny loud noise at night, so zero sleep and a junk yard at the back of our apartment facing the street. Hundreds of Flies and dead bugs plastered on the bathroom ceiling. The towels were bleach stained and needed replacing. Shower curtain was dirty and gross at the bottom. We had requested a cot and phoned the night before to remind it wasn't in the room after calling to check in 'late' at 5.20pm. The owner was not apologetic about the cot just full of excuses and that he lived in perth city. By the time the cot was given to us it was 8pm, 2 hours since calling. It seems all the smaller rooms have good reviews but the apartment has bad ones. Steer clear. Wouldn't recommend.

We stayed in one of the self-contained rooms. Didn't go in with any expectations, but was pleasantly surprised given some of the negative reviews and 3-star rating. Our room and bathroom were spotless and well equipped (fridge, microwave, kettle, tea/coffee, toiletries). The TV didn't work, but that wasn't an issue as we were only there for one night. The staff were friendly enough when we checked in, and the in/out process was very easy. The water pressure in the shower was excellent. Better than some of the 5-star places I've stayed at. Motel is a short 10-15 minute walk to Busselton's main drag, jetty, and highlights.
