I guess sometimes 'you can' judge a book by its cover. The dated and rusted sign at the front is representative of the condition of our room. Our stay (March 2025) in an Ocean View Spa Suite started with the sounds of hammer drilling reverberating loudly through the rooms. Had the manager (who works the front desk) mentioned this on check-in, it would have saved the later inquiry I made to establish that it was as a result of maintenance to a soak-well and expected to last only a day. No problem. Still, it was worth a mention on check-in and reflects the lack of communication throughout our stay. The view of the bay from the balcony was sensational. Sadly, there isn't much in the way of more positive things I can say about our room. "Resort" is a massive reach for this place. Maybe it was befitting in its heyday. Not so now. It is a b-grade motel at best. Maybe I'm being unfair, but this is what I did not expect from this accomodation, all evident on the first night. 1 - A 'blended fibre' blanket, numerous short and long black hairs comprising part of the blend. The blanket was also stained 2- Stained sheets 3- A sofa that provided so little support, you sunk into it and was difficult to get out. Also a stray wire from the bed portion of the sofa bed that poked whoever sat on it through the gap between the cushions. 4- Food stains on the carpet, sofa and seat. 5- Filthy ceiling vents that were dislodged from the ceiling 6- Dodgy wiring from the ceiling for the TV 7- A frosted over freezer that struggled to effectively make ice. 8 - Unsightly (water?) damage to main entry door 9 - Unsightly repair to the spa and mould in the silicone joints. Chips in the bathroom bench. 10 - some kind of substance sprayed across the painting above the bed. Room servicing (every second day) did not result in the bin being emptied, nor did it include a general clean and tidy. IMO the issues in the above list are matters that are easily resolved, yet the fact they are not, indicates a poor 'care factor' by owners / management. The following however is not so easily rectified, but still something to be aware of if choosing to stay here. 1 - The walls and floors (between stories) appear to be paper thin. I have been woken by showers before. That happens. But never (as in this case), the sound of our neighbours urinating with such penetrating sound, we heard every last drop. 2- Workers (of which there are many) are accommodated adjacent to holidaying guests. So expect those 'pee alarms' to start at 5am. 3. Significant and loud traffic sound through the front windows and balcony doors. Undoubtably this building was constructed during a period where there was considerably less traffic. Now, The Esplanade sounds like a highway from 6am and double glazing appears well overdue. It's not like we didn't give management the opportunity to resolve our concerns. We emailed on our first morning, offering to pay for the night we had stayed, but requested the remaining nights be refunded so we could find alternate accomodation. We received no response to this, or subsequent emails. Perhaps this is not everyone's experience. Many of the ratings are quite good. But this was ours and it was disappointing.

The place looks impressive from the road & it does have some positives, however I want to point some negatives too! Unfortunately there was. On arrival we were told that there was only parking available for one vehicle, yet the room was booked so far in advance for 4 adults & since the other 2 adults came in their car, straight away there was a problem. There was no mention of this being a problem when you book. The excuse we were given was because they are fully booked, yet we had booked more than 6 months ago. We got told we could park across the road which is a public car park & that worried us, not having the other car nearby also paying over $850 for a 3 night stay you'd expect to have a place to park near your accommodation where you feel your car is safe. The receptionist did tell us as soon parking was available, she would let us know, sadly she didn't it! Furthermore the parking in the resort is absolutely horrible, it's so hard to get in & out of the bays due to the size especially if you have a 4WD or larger sedan. Not alot of room so we didn't know what was worse parking away from the resort or parking in it as both choices weren't good at all. Another negative was going up all those stairs with all your luggage I recommend if your elderly or have health issues be sure to ask for ground floor. The kitchen area is quite small but it had all we needed to cook our own food. The washing machine was great as it also was a dryer too & pretty new. Bedrooms were nice & having 2 toilets & 2 showers a bonus. Upstair bedroom exposed railing made it hard to get dressed without the others from the ground floor seeing you getting changed. Lounge chair will have to be moved if everyone wants to watch TV at the same time otherwise use the chairs from the dining table not as comfy. Otherwise the place was nice & clean. We won't be using Jetty Resort for any future holidays mainly due to the parking.

The resort is not actually a resort it's a collection of odd buildings around a pool and carpark. The pool wasn't heated even though it's advertised as such. The pool view suite is really a carpark view, you do look over the BBQ area and pool but it's not a pleasant view as you see other buildings and the road etc. Upon checking in and going to our room the view was miserable so I went to the office to enquire about paying to upgrade to the ocean view. I was told they'd ring me in ten minutes to tell me my options. The call never came. The room is very tired looking, kitchen old and small. The furniture is old with old-fashioned plastic covers on the tables! The bathroom had hooks broken off on the back of the door and the soap dish broken off in the shower. BBQ on the balcony was dirty from previous use so did not use it. Everything was just 'okay' about the place, certainly not fancy and not worth the money we paid to upgrade to the pool view suite. Good location near the tanker jetty and Coffee Cat kiosk across the road.

I recently stayed at Jetty Resort with my friends for a two-day booking. However, upon checking out, we were surprised to find an additional charge of $150 labeled as "extra cleaning fees." Perplexed by this unexpected charge, we promptly contacted the resort to seek clarification.

To our dismay, the explanation provided was that we had left the room in a dirty condition. This assertion is far from accurate, as we took great care to clean the kitchen area and neatly arranged all the sheets on the beds before departing. There is no valid reason for imposing such an excessive cleaning fee.

Even if, for the sake of argument, we had left the premises in a less than perfect state, it is unreasonable to levy an additional charge for standard cleaning. Such practices not only undermine the trust of patrons but also tarnish the reputation of your establishment.

We request a thorough review of our case and a reconsideration of the imposed cleaning fee. It is our expectation that your establishment values customer satisfaction and addresses this matter promptly. We trust that this concern will be addressed in a fair and...
