Siam Thai in Esperance is a fantastic spot for a relaxed meal! The decor is a lovely clean white, creating a bright and airy atmosphere, and the furniture is comfy enough to settle in for a nice dinner.
From the moment you walk in, the friendly staff greet you with genuine warmth, and we were thrilled at how quickly our meals arrived—it really sets the tone for a great evening.
If you're after vegan options, you're in for a treat! The fried tofu with peanut sauce is absolutely delicious, and the pineapple fried rice delivers a burst of flavor that’s hard to beat. The pad Thai is another winner—so bright and fresh, it’s packed with flavor and a delight to eat! Their wok-fried dishes are straightforward and satisfying, with everything consistently arriving at just the right temperature.
Plus, the BYO option is a great touch—bringing along our favorite wine just adds to the enjoyment. We typically spend around $30 per person as vegans, which is pretty awesome for the quality of food you get.
And don’t miss out on the possibility of their sticky rice and mango dessert if it’s available—it's a perfect way to end the meal!
Overall, Siam Thai is a great find with good food, a welcoming vibe, and friendly service, making it a must-visit for anyone hanging out...

This was honestly one of the worst visits to a Thai restaurant i have ever been to. My partner and I just wanted a nice meal whilst on a holiday but several things have ruined our experience. We waited 1hr 20mins Ordered a massaman curry which was the worst thing we have eaten, not only came out like cold water. We asked for Gluten free dishes which were pointed out to us by one of the staff members (says they can provide gluten free & vegan). The waitstaff had no real clue and suggested a couple of dishes that were “possibly gluten free” including stock standard steamed rice. We soon found out shortly after leaving the venue that the gluten free dish we ordered and turned out not to be as my partner is now extremely sick. We ordered pad thai - the prawns were not peeled. The glasses that we were provided for our BYO wine smelt like they had been washed in dirty sink water (plus charged a $9 corkage fee). All this cost us $100 which was a ridiculously bad experience.
Would not waste my time going there - especially if you’re coeliac as they don’t even know what gluten...
Read moreWe have been travelling around Australia and have missed good Thai food. Actually missing good food in general in many places. However we were very pleasantly surprised with the Siam Thai, Esperance. The food was exceptional; so good that it put us on a high for the rest of the night. We had the Massaman Beef and the Panang Curry. The sauces were delicious and the meat perfectly cooked. The best we've had. If we were staying longer we would go as often as possible. I met the chef and he once worked in Sydney in the city. This humble little restaurant 'showed up' nearly every place we've been to. I saw one of the posts say it was more costly than other places with the same food. But that's the point, the dishes may have the same name but definitely not the same food. We thought the prices were fair for what we got. 2 dishes with rice filled us perfectly. We would rather pay more for great food than too much for the tasteless same old stuff served up to patrons more regularly than it should be. The service was very friendly and wait time short. I highly...
