3 òf us unfortunately went here to eat and it was probably the worst dining experience I've ever had.
Drinks were ordered on arrival and 2 were given fairly fast but one wasn't until the food was served some 30mins after ordering.
We ordered a beef and a prawn curry with fried rice and a beef chow mein. There was an option to have special fried rice etc but just wanted plain.
The curries arrived first on sizzle plates but they were so hot that what little curry sauce was there sizzled away.
The rice arrived sometime later but when it arrived it was full of other bits including prawns which one of us has an allergy to so asked if could have a bowl of plain rice. Meanwhile the chowmein arrived and was white noodles in a bowl of oil with beef on more resembling and with the texture of rubber.
Still awaiting rice we asked the waitress how long it would be and she said every order is done in turn including takeaways so would take a while, we explained the curry was virtually cold so just cancel the order.
The meal was virtually untouched and as we prepared to leave, you have to pay on exit, so the waitress appeared with bowl of rice, of course we said we cancelled the order but she said it had to go on bill. We were shocked and refused to pay for it and asked to speak to the manager. She then said she would take the rice off.
We went to pay and then found the drinks were more expensive than stated but were told the prices needed updating and weren't correct.
There was grease and dirt on the menus which could easily have been cleaned. Filthy curtains, many things we noticed while waiting so long.
All in all a terrible experience and a restaurant I would advise people to avoid at any...
Read moreWas visiting my grandma and thought I’d shout us to some take-away Chinese. Limited options in town so compared all restaurants and chose this one as it was closest to her house. I ordered dishes according to the most recent photos of the menu uploaded on to google. Being from out of town, naturally I didn’t have a hard copy of the menu on me. I ordered at 7pm and they said pickup would be at 8pm. When I got there it didn’t seem particularly busy - I could only see one large table of around 8 adults. I waited 5-10 minutes for my dishes to be ready. Upon paying it ended up being $12 more expensive than I had calculated, according the menu I had used to order with online! I was mad - they were $3 more expensive for each dish than advertised. I raised this with the person at the counter and she didn’t seem phased that what I thought I was paying was different to what I was actually charged. I tried to explain why I assumed they were cheaper and she didn’t really care or want to do anything about it. What redeemed it all slightly was that the food was relatively tasty. But I’ll never go there again. So beware - you could be paying more at pickup...
Read moreReally yummy food. Our favourite here is the honey chicken and vegetarian fried rice. The way they make the honey chicken is different from most places I'm used to, however it's better, imo! Service has always been great every occasion. There is a nice feel on the restaurant. However, we've never been fond of the radio playing as it ruins the atmosphere and experience. Especially with stupid ads between every song. The last time we went this past week, we asked the serving staff if they could play anything else, with no ads, please! They said we only have Chinese music on CDs and we're like, great that would be perfect. But they seemed surprise for the request. Because there wasn't anyone eating in, they didn't mind putting it on. We had the best experience there we've ever had. Also, I think the staff started to look like they were enjoying the Chinese music too. We were amazed that they wouldn't play authentic Chinese music like this all the time. Since yeah, it's a Chinese restaurant after all. Thanks ladies for indulging our wishes for listening to Chinese music, instead of the stupid radio with ads. We really...
