Thanks to Lyn at the center, I'm now well-equipped to fully enjoy my three days in the Esperance area. Using the trusty paper map, she highlighted key routes and stops I might enjoy. There is lots of good info on Cape Le Grand, which will help me allocate my time appropriately. Well worth visiting to get the local insights. Check out the Museum Village in the same spot

Good information centre , helpful staff, can be busy so be patient. Would be good if the centre did move to the museum so it was open more as disappointingly we missed going through the museum due to reduced open hours.

I rented a car from Goldcar Perth and paid for extra insurance. On the second day, my tire burst, and I called 24/7 roadside assistance, but no one came to help me. I was stranded for 5 hours, waiting for help that never arrived. (22 January 2025)

During this stressful situation, Renae from the Esperance Tourist Office was incredibly kind and helpful. Even though it wasn’t her job, she stayed with me, calmed me down, and guided me to a local repair shop. Thanks to her recommendation, I was able to get the tire fixed.

I traveled from Switzerland to Australia for a vacation, and this was an experience I will never forget—both the lack of service from Goldcar and the kindness of Renae. Thank you, Renae! You made a difficult day so much easier.

As for Goldcar, I do not recommend them. They failed to provide the service I paid for, and even after filing a report, they ignored my refund requests for the extra insurance and repair costs. I was left alone, frustrated, and financially affected. Avoid...

Quite disappointed. Came in yesterday after driving from the Nullarbor to ask about whether there were any free camping spots around the area. The man who served me said firmly to me "no, and everywhere will be booked out." I awkwardly said no worries ill just have to sort something out. I was very shocked as I have drove from the Sunshine Coast and this is this first time a visitor centre could not provide helpful information. We called around to the holiday parks and every place had a spot available for us to book. And after doing some googling we found out that there are free camps just past Lucky Bay- although its quite further than esperence i feel as though this information should be given if these are the closest...

Visiting Esperance for the first time with the family we walked in and was greeted by a lovely young lady with brown hair who was so helpful. (Thankyou) After asking where there main “welcome to Esperance” sign was we were then rudely interrupted but the old American lady with grey short hair. When I started asking a question she quickly put her hand ✋🏻 up in my face and said “stop” while I was still talking… then continued to give us direction. The abrupt and rude response aswell as the hand gesture was so disrespectful and a shame really as you are the front face of this place. Not the best welcoming...
