CBD GI Motel — Hotel in Glen Innes

My partner and I broke down an hour away from Glen Innes. The tow truck driver gave us a lift to this motel and proclaimed it to be the best in town. He was not wrong.||Not only did we not have a reservation, we rolled up late, on a Sunday night, that was also Fathers Day. We were cold, wet, dirty and disheveled. The owner took us in right away and gave us the suite for the night at a discounted rate. He helped us with information to do with our car repairs, told us what was open / what restaurants were available to us for dinner that night, and made us feel very welcome after a long few days. He told us not to stress about the check out time the following morning, and to get our car sorted out before we needed to leave for anywhere.||The following morning we were told our car was unable to be repaired and we were unable to get home (6 hours away from Glen Innes). I managed to book a hire car from Inverell, however we had no way of getting there. The owner offered to drive us to Inverell (over a 2 hour round trip for him), in the middle of his work day, and on what was also his and his wife's anniversary! He literally dropped everything he had on that day to help us on our journey home. If it was not for him, we still would not be home.||He truly went above and beyond to help two strangers and I cannot thank him enough.||This goes beyond the standard level of customer service you come to expect from anywhere, and you would not get this in the City.||So thank you, to you, and also your very patient wife, for the kindness and help you provided to us when we were in need.||Thank you for providing a warm and welcoming stay at the motel with everything we needed.||I would recommend this motel time and time again, and I hope this review is able to encourage others to book their stay here.||We will be back to stay again (but next time planned in advance and with a new...

Sign said No Highway Noise! But the people in the room next to me banged doors & talked ALL NIGHT & the walls are paper thin! I heard every word 😡 When I first rented the attendant (the owners father) told me some young men were next door… I told him I’m travelling 2500km & need to sleep… he said no problem just let me know if they disturb you!! They cooked dinner outside & went in & out the banging door continuously & being heavy handed with things in their room… bang bang bang❗️ I tried numerous times to phone reception but the wifi didn’t work!!!! The attendant came once to tell them to stop banging the doors but then they continued to talk until nearly 2am!!! Absolutely NO RESPECT!!! But the fact that I could be disturbed by people talking in the next room was unacceptable… I told the attendant I was travelling a long way & needed my rest… he shouldn’t have rented me the room… SO ANGRY!!!
