The Local" is more than just a venue - it's a haven where community and camaraderie thrive. From the moment you step inside, you can feel the amazing vibe that permeates the atmosphere. The sense of community and coming together is palpable, making every visit a memorable and enriching experience. Not only is the attention to detail evident in the intricately designed space, but the staff also pours their heart and soul into creating an inviting and friendly ambiance. The warm and welcoming staff go out of their way to ensure that every guest feels like a part of the family. And let's not forget about the cocktails and food offerings - they are simply exceptional. From expertly crafted cocktails to mouthwatering dishes, the menu at "The Local" is a culinary delight that leaves you wanting more.

As someone who is not a local, I was pleasantly surprised to find that "The Local" made me feel like I belonged. Despite being unfamiliar with the area, the venue provided a sense of belonging that was both comforting and inspiring. The music offerings are eagerly anticipated, as they promise to be nothing short of incredible. With the amazing atmosphere, friendly staff, and excellent food and drink choices, I have no doubt that "The Local" will deliver yet another exceptional experience with its music offerings. Whether you're a local or just passing through, "The Local" is a must-visit venue that will leave a lasting impression and make you feel...

Made a punt on this place as it was on our trip to qld and we were passing through at 8am in the morning and were looking for a place for coffee and breakfast. Certainly got the win here! Great coffee energetic staff the locals were even friendly saw the meals coming out and they looked really good Myself, I had the yoghurt muesli with berries and rhubarb for brekky- was so delicious! my other half had the tomatoes on toast - nice but would have loved more tomatoes: two small blistered cherry tom's isn't really enough to title the dish as such. But enjoyed it otherwise. we bought 2nd coffees as take away as the coffee was so good. It was about 9am by this stage so the place was quite busy so the wait for coffee was about 10 minutes, but we were informed, so no big deal there :). It gave us more time to check out the map on the wall. Glen Innes has a great little place here. And I did note their support for other businesses in the region (marked on the wall on the map, plus those business's produce for sale at the counter), so good to see people helping each other out. Next time travelling through GI, will try out some of their...

Dear the Local,

I had the lovely opportunity of visiting your cafe during the week when passing through Glen Innes. I want to say how lovely the staff were.

I do have one bit of feedback. I unfortunately have a dairy allergy. I ordered a pumpkin soup served with toast and was advised it "was totally vegan" so I didn't bother asking for it to be dairy free. When it came served there was butter on the toast.

Whilst I take the risk of dining at restaurants where dairy is present, I think it's important for staff to inform customers of the presence of butter( milk products) on a dish labelled "vegan". As a customer you expect all elements of a dish labelled "vegan " to be vegan as people who do have allergies order vegan food to be safe. When I informed the waiter, she was lovely and removed the toast and I just assumed she would replace it with non- buttered toast, however she returned the soup without any toast. I ended up just paying the bill and leaving without...

The Local in Glen Innes is a cosy spot right in the centre of town. The vibe here is mellow, with some toe-tapping ā€˜80s tunes that make for a nice little nostalgia trip while you sip on your brew. The staff are genuinely friendly, and there’s that added attention to detail—when I was dining in, the waitress asked if I’d prefer my coffee in a ceramic cup rather than the takeaway paper one she was about to give me. Little touches like that go a long way in my book. The coffee’s tasty enough, but at $6.50 for a large, it’s a bit on the pricier side for a small-town cafe. I maybe wrong šŸ’šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø Cleanliness-wise, I could’ve done with a quick wipe-down on the table. But if you’re after a laid-back spot with friendly service and a nice dose of ā€˜80s hits, The Local’s worth a stop while you’re in town.

Amazing experience for this celiac! Asked about their gluten free practices and they were very informed (and of course couldn't guarantee 100% gluten free but that's to be expected). I had the gluten free pancakes which were delicious (so light and the crispy edges 🤤) with vanilla ice cream and homemade berry compote. My housemate had the three egg omelette which he said was beautiful and fluffy. The server I spoke to said they can make most of the breakfast dishes gluten free by substituting the bread, etc. I got the impression the deep fried items couldn't be made gluten free which is to be expected (in a good way, from a practical standpoint for this customer). Would definitely recommend!

As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a big cheery welcome. It was pretty quiet when I was here but they have allot of tables so I imagine they get quite busy because they are awesome!! I had the Spanish eggs and campfire tea for breakfast. I was told the campfire tea was intended to remind of billy tea cooked over an open fire. As soon as it was brought to the table I could smell the smoke, so it didn’t disappoint. The Spanish eggs were delicious. Definitely recommend them. This place has everything you want from a cafe. Friendly and efficient staff, a nice comfortable well decorated area and delicious food. 10 out of 10 to the Local.
