We stayed here for 3 nights. I had no issues with parking across the road and always felt safe. The staff provide you with a ticket for your dash so you don't have to pay for parking. The Hotel itself is quite grand and we didn't stay in the actual old building so I cannot comment on that, however, next time I would love to stay in one of the rooms facing the courtyard and there is a wonderful shared terrace. Our room was a Quality Queen room (218) adjacent to the garden and pool, a two-story complex with stairs. Take note if you aren't into stairs like myself. These rooms were refurbished and it was a huge, beautiful room. The shower unfortunately changes in heat however the pressure was good. The bed and mattress I could not fault. The balcony is more a Juliette-style balcony however it was still a great balcony and a great view. There are plenty of power points and data ports which is a bonus. There was free water, coffee, tea and biscuits, kettle etc. The hair dryer was is a bit lacklustre and trapped in the 80s. Little thing, there were no tissues. The service was impeccable. The Internet was not the greatest. Note it is noisy in this room it didn't bother us but it would bother some. The location was fantastic. We did have dinner at the Spanish Bar and Grill. It is expensive however, isn't everything? Beautiful dining.

Highly disappointed in this hotel after having driven for 15 hours to get to Mildura and arriving close to midnight l needed a hotel with 24 hour reception. I checked into the grand and was given my key to a room when l got to it there were no mattresses on the beds go back down stairs to get given a key to another room. I have been down graded from a queen room to a single 🤬. Back down stairs l go only to be asked do l have someone else with me, not the point l have paid for a queen room. Not another one available apparently so l go back to the single room🤬. It was filthy a ring of dirt around the base of the bedside lamp, the furniture was scuffed and stained. The bathroom had moisture marks on the walls the bottom of the shower was marked and stained. Considering l have heard people say they loved their stay at the Grand l will not be one of them. To top it all off when l go down stairs in the morning to hand in my key l was told by reception that the house cleaning crew is new and they cant keep up. Its just not good enough if they cant keep up employ more people or train them better. I wouldn’t give them any stars the room was awful and so was my stay. Not the best way to spend $105, l was initially charged $175 lm supposed to be getting a $70 refund. I shall wait and see if it happens.

Very conflicted about this place. The staff and reception were absolutely lovely and so friendly. I couldn't be happier with the customer service. But the rooms....the rooms were VERY old fashion and are definitely due for a renovation. The PowerPoints were wobbly and not working fully. The shower door didn't have a handle so you couldn't close it from the inside. The beds weren't very comfortable and the mattresses were very stained. The carpet was stained and there was pieces clearly cut out and replaced with the same type of carpet. I was very disappointed with the rooms as the front looked very fancy and clean. The door handles were wobbly and the sink taps weren't installed properly. The safety was okay. There wasn't a lock except a latch for the balcony door. I wish there was more security when it came to the front door of the room. You will have to be careful when walking to your room as the hallway is wonky and there are invisible inclines and declines. We had the buffet breakfast and it was decent, wasn't the best I have had, but was definitely edible. I personally don't think I will be coming here again. Unless the rooms get a major upgrade, I don't really think it's worth the money.

The hotel has a beautiful facade, gardens and pool area. However, the rooms are so basic in fit out. The bathroom light/fan switch was external to the door meaning you had to wake other occupants to use in the night. The bedside power points were behind the bed head, requiring us to manually shift the bed each time. The bed was a queen size only, which in 2025 is absurd (upgrade to a king like every other modern hotel for the price). There was no cutlery other than a teaspoon, meaning we were unable to eat any form of snacks/light meals etc. This was especially frustrating as there is no room service for drinks or food. The night we were unwell and wanted to eat simple salads from the supermarket and asked for cutlery to be sent to the room, we were provided with one wooden fork. Absolutely no attempt to be accommodating. The car parking is across the road, open air with no coverage which is absurd in Mildura with heat 40 degrees. With paid additional for a balcony, however, it was enclosed with fly mesh which was dirt ridden and dead flies were all throughout. The air conditioner was dated and was not fit for purpose with regard to the room size (a greater kilowatt system is needed within Mildura weather). The front of house staff were disinterested and always seemed occupied. Overall, it was a frustrating stay for six nights. We are actually Mildura locals who are seeking to return and were to look at houses, however, the hotel in its current form is a blight on the town. It could be a real landmark but has been ‘renovated’ with disdain for its history and customers. I will not stay again and will not recommend the hotel to anyone...

The Grand Hotel Mildura has 3 quality levels of accommodation, Standard, Quality & Superior. I booked the Quality (mid range) twin room (room 14) which has more space & consisted of a queen & single bed.||The room is an all one colour grey tone being the walls & cupboards which appeared to be painted over. The carpet was charcoal. The room lacked contrast and it appeared to be missing nice touches.||To my disappointment & surprise there was no armchairs considering the available space. If you wanted to sit & watch tv or relax & chat with drinks, it's either you sit on the dated scratched 2 dining chairs with the table or you sit on the bed.||The other thing I wish to point out is the bathroom which has a dated laminex vanity from the 80s, like seriously it's 2025 that vanity needs a major update, you'll notice in the pic the side has a laminex chipped off.||When you're paying $570 for 3 nights in Mildura, you expect the room to be of better standard. I spoke with reception about a lack of armchairs and they did bring up 1 old pleather armchair, and I confirmed whether my room is the Quality room as the dining chairs & table were scratched & dated, & bathroom vanity is 80s and they said I was in the correct room.||Furthermore, the bed was not comfortable and not a pillow-top mattress, it seemed either it was a cheap quality mattress or it was an old mattress that it's springs have deteriorated, as their was a lack of support. The mattress needs to be replaced.||Most of the hotel was nice, with a manicured garden with an original heritage fountain. |I heard the better rooms are the ones facing the garden which are the...

I arrived here at 11.30 last night - room 66

Just want to go to bed and sleep but a junky from a room close to mine was keep screaming and being loud and noisy. I was feeling uncomfortable and scared but I heard from my room twice someone coming, knocking the door of the junky and tell that “we received complaint about you being noisy”. This morning when I asked the receptionist to change room and they said people around me checked out already, and I asked the manager what happen and to move me they said “nothing happened last night - there were no complaints apparently made” There was nothing on their record apparently. Asked for a refund and they refused too. Clearly you can see from my face that I’m a person that didn’t sleep last night. I can’t have invented all of this.

My bad, I should have called the reception too and complaint too during the nite, but since I heard someone telling “we receive complaint” I thought it was someone from the hotel. At least twice. Coming up, knocking the door and telling to stop.

Apparently I’ve invented or dream about it. I couldn’t believe it I walked out of the hotel. As they make me feel like I’ve invented things, I came back in a I was going to cancel my reservation but they won’t let me do it as there is a cancellation fee .

Very bad customer service and lack of care. Won’t be back here anymore after this trip. Absolutely disgusted by the way...
