We made a reservation for a romantic table for that night. They told us on the phone "not a problem, absolutely " We where new in town and didn't know how it looked like inside. When we got there, it was just a take away place with 15 tables inside, no decor and it looked already from the outside really messy...sorry! When we arrived, there where only 2 tables, one was about to finish but we decided to give the restaurant a chance. so we came inside and the waitress greeted us! After reading the menu and having a chat for 10 minutes, somebody took our order after 15 minutes. After adressing our issues to the managepr, he talked to the waitress, we thought of the sake of improvement but nothing changed! The waitress didn't ask if we have any questions about the menu or take a drink order, we still decided to order the food (only starters). So we had chicken and lamb of the entree choice and some plain naan bread with dips. The food came out right in time but it was way too over cooked and the waitress wasnt paying attention at all. Nobody checked back on our food so when we finished ( we didn't want to wait another 15 minutes to get the check) we decided to put the amount of money on the table and leave. Before that, I accidentally dropped a glass...the waitress saw that but ignored it. I didn't want anybody to walk into the broke glass, so i had to pick it up cause no waitress was helping. After putting the money on the table we decided to leave without saying goodbye as nobody is paying attention anyways. It ruined our...

We came here hoping for a nice meal out, and while the food was genuinely excellent, the overall dine-in experience was disappointing. When we walked in, there was no greeting or staff member to assist us — we had to seat ourselves. Moments later, papad and chutneys were placed on the table without a word, smile, or even eye contact. It felt cold, rushed, and far from welcoming.
Soon after, a new table was set up so close to ours that it felt like we were dining with strangers. There was no courtesy to ask if we’d like to be moved or if we were okay with the tight space. It was uncomfortable enough that we chose to get our food packed and take it away rather than stay.
What made things even more awkward was the way the staff asked for a review — it felt less like a genuine request for feedback and more like a trade-off for a possible discount. It left a strange aftertaste to the whole experience.
To be fair, the food was absolutely amazing — rich, authentic, and packed with Indian street-food flavour. We’d happily come back for takeaway, but not...
Read moreTwo of us walked in around 6:30 on a Sunday evening. Two tables were dining in, in an otherwise empty restaurant. As we walk up to the counter and are greeted by the solitary waitress working at the front, the phone rings moments later and she proceeds to pick it up and have a 7 minute conversation with the extremely slow person ordering on the other end of the line.
Mind you, it would have been correct customer service to place the phone call on hold and take our order first (since we were already waiting prior to the phone ringing) then tend to the phone customer.
During our wait, a father/son also came to the restaurant. Before the phone call ended, they had given up and left. Once she was finished on the phone, we asked the waitress the wait time on food and were told 45 minutes - does not make sense in a restaurant with 2 tables seated.
Left and walked a few doors down to Indian Taste Makers, where we promptly had our order taken, and the wait time was more reasonable. Also saw the father...
