Mildura Brewery Pub — Restaurant in Victoria

Absolutely appaulling experience on Friday 2pm! Ordered 2 steaks medium. When they arrived they were both extremely undercooked. I was ok with mine, however I asked for my partners to be cooked a little longer due to the blood pooring out through and soaking the chips and salad. When we got it again no more than 5 minutes later and cut into the steak, we found the steak still very undercooked as it was the first time we sent it back. Frustrated and disappointed by the experience, my partner took the steak up to the woman taking orders to express our dissatisfaction, to not only be unapologetic, but to also find the situation funny as she laughed to the chefs about the situation. When she had seen that we saw this display, she then came to our table some time after to offer us a complimentary drink (and still after all of this still hasn't apologised for anything). I simply said that I should not be expected to pay for a steak that we did not want to eat a steak that was poorly cooked not once, but twice. This was met with the reply of "I will refund one but I not refunding yours as you ate one of them" (still no apology what so ever!) At first glance, this restaurant looks quite fancy, but appearances can be deceiving. The prices are normal to slightly high, but the service model doesn’t match what you might expect. You have to order at the counter, and they give you a buzzer that notifies you when your food is ready to pick up—so you’re really just paying for the food, not for table service.

The wait time was longer than expected, and to make things worse, I ordered a medium-rare steak, but it came out well done. I had to send it back, and they made me a new one. However, I was also disappointed that they didn’t even offer butter for the steak, some different sauces like gravy and garlic one.

Overall, the food is good, but it’s not one of my favorite places due to the service, pricing, and lack of small details that make a difference. The atmosphere is also a bit quiet, and you end up hearing more of the crowd’s chatter than any actual background music or ambiance. There’s definitely room for...

Not bad, however I went in one day and stood at the bottle shop to get some take away beer, we were on holiday and I wanted to try some of their brew(craft brewery onsite). I waited there for fifteen minutes while the only staff in the place sat at a table having a conversation with someone. He finally walked over and told me that the place was shut. I was a bit put out because he was only ten feet away and could have told me this when I walked in. In all fairness he did open the till and give me my beer.
