The Lady who owns the beautiful cottage was so warm and welcoming and showed us all the nice places we could go visit. She cooked a delicious breakfast. i There is a lot of privacy even though the cottage is to share with other couples. And the rooms were so fresh and clean, i can not express that enough the bedrooms are so cozy clean with a lot of space to unpack your belongings, the mattress was like sleeping in heaven. The shower was amazing and large. It was like a dream home and defiantly would recommend if you are looking for a weekend out in nature to see new scenery. Close by is a IGA, multiple pizza restaurants and cute little shops to wonder too. The whole cottage had a cozy country oak wood feel with a beautiful kitchen with a lot of different teas and coffees for free to try, beautiful tea cups and all the cooking supplies if you want to cook for your family with a large table to sit inside and also outside on the porch . Magazines, books, and art work displayed. The lounge room has a fire place with comfy couches so you can sit there and drink some wine and unwind. The lady who own runs the cottage sets the fire place up for you which is just a bonus because i couldn't know how to do that, haha. A large balcony over looking a fairy magical garden with mountains in view. You can feed the cockatoos with a jar of seeds supplied. The price you pay is very reasonable and i wont forget staying at Buttercup Hill. i never write reviews but this one is...
Read moreWe spent a weekend at Buttercup Hill and the stay exceeded our expectations. The setup is basically a larger house with 3 separate rooms, a beautifully equipped kitchen, dining room and cosy fireplace. It was a fantastic escape from the city and suburban life and this setting couldn't have been better. Surrounded by greenery and a beautiful view on the porch, its been a very relaxing and peaceful stay. The owner Kim is very welcoming and is able to make you really feel at home here. She provides a fantastic home cooked breakfast with the experience and quality exceeding any five star hotel - we were amazed that it was all included as part of the room booking price. If you're looking for a cosy place to stay while you visit the surrounding sights, I'd highly recommend Buttercup Hill - peaceful, well equipped, personally serviced and the perfect place to touch in nature. Will be back in the future! I'm sure bookings will be very hot by then given how amazing this place is.
PS - we stayed here over Easter and Kim even made us hot cross buns and chocolate bunnies, all fresh out of the kitchen...

We organised accommodation late last year, as we had a wedding in the area over the weekend just past, and this B&B was only a walk away from it, so we booked right away!
Upon arrival, we were greeted by Kim, whom from the get go, was so warm, welcoming and kind, and shown to our room, which was exactly as pictured, cozy and tidy.
The B&B is set up with 3 seperate rooms and a main living room area, where all of the guests can come to make themselves a tea, coffee or to relax, overlooking the beautiful mountains. This area is also set up for all of the guests to have breakfast in the morning- which was absolutely, DIVINE. Kim ensures your tummy is full with fresh produce, including homemade bread and fresh eggs from the chickens in the garden.
We loved learning about the area and the history of the B&B from Kim, while also learning some delicious breakfast recipes.
The hospitality, views, tranquillity and the location all have a big tick with Buttercup Hill! My partner and I will definitely be...
