A cozy holiday park with a mix of permanent holiday rental cabins, permanent private caravan/cabins, and camp sites located high on a hill overlooking the spectacular Narooma Beach down to the eye-catching Glasshouse Rocks. The views from this place are unbelievable. There is a good mix of newer cabins (including some luxury cabins right up above the cliff with panoramic ocean views) and older cabins, which are 'pet friendly' during the non-peak season (pets are excluded Christmas and Easter holidays).
The park was super-busy in the weeks after Christmas but it was quiet at night and people were friendly.
There is access to the beach down a set of steps that take you past the surf life saving club (with a part-time cafe) and main beach car park. To the right is the dog-prohibited section of beach and creek outlet. To the left (along a grassy pathway) is the full-time off-leash dog beach. Further north you can scramble over some rocks that lead to the an extremely picturesque cove, which has an excellent and safe swimming spot.
If you go further south, up over the small headland containing the Narooma Cemetary, you can drop down to another off-leash beach, called Cemetary Beach. It is even more stunning than Narooma Beach.
The supermarkets/shopping centre is a five-minute drive from the park and you can walk to Narooma's main strip shopping centre, golf club and pubs in around 20 minutes.
The park is enclosed on two sides by the Narooma Golf Course. This is a good destination for families, couples...
Read moreThe service is very ordinary and the cabin looks tired. There was no Wi-Fi from day one, when we reported the issue, we were told it would take up to 48 hours to get an answer as why, and no communication from the property in any way afterwards, I followed up on the 3rd day and was told it should be available the next day, which didn’t happen, and on the 4th day I went and followed up again, this time I was told the issue couldn’t be resolved, would it be reasonable to at least to keep us updated rather than having us kept going to the reception and looking for an answer? Especially every visit to the reception seemed to be a punt whether the door would be open and anyone would be there. We reported the globe outside the cabin didn’t work, it still wasn’t working when we checked out 5 days later, although I reminded them of the issue in between. The shower curtain was that long and the bottom of it takes up more than half of the shower base. We couldn’t use the door of the main bedroom which is next to the bed, because there was absolutely no room for it to swing open or shut. When I questioned the manager the “Transaction Fee” on the emailed receipt, I was told it was for using credit card, although there wasn’t any notification and not a word was given to me when the face to face transaction occurred, she assured me it’s for all transactions for everyone uses credit card, despite the fact that I know there was a transaction didn’t have...
Read moreIf I could put minus stars I would. If I could say “oh well you get what you pay for” I’d be LYING. Considering this place is owned by Merivale I expected WAY more. We booked & paid for 2 nights & packed & left at 6am after 1. It was so overpriced for the standard of accommodation. We stayed in the “newer” 2 bdrm cabins. It was stinking of a wet musky odour on arrival despite opening all windows (several of which didn’t have bug screens) And buying 2 air fresheners Then there was the shower. If you don’t mind being wrapped in a wet shower curtain whilst trying to bathe that you can’t escape based on the size of the shower itself then you’ll love it. Fast forward to nighttime where you only have block out blinds in bedrooms & outside lights that don’t turn off & so bright the cabin is well lit all night long. Then if you happen to be positioned close to the camping sites you’ll get a pleasant 1am wakeup call of people yelling & carrying on (waking both children) for a good hour. If you are able to get them & yourself back to sleep you’ll again be pleasantly woken by said Ferals at 5am. If you don’t value sleep. Book...
