Narooma Golf Club — Attraction in Narooma

Pretty disappointed with the restaurant, both food and service, definitely won't be back. Appreciating this time of year of course and volume of patronage, as I've been a frequent holiday resident for more than a decade, with relatives now locals to the area. My friends and I were happy to wait 50 minutes for our meal; at 1 hour, 10 minutes, we decided to make enquiries of the progress as they announced the pending closure of the restaurant. We were then provided with two of the four meals ordered by our table. Not what we ordered mind you, but given the worms were biting, I wasn't complaining. With no further explanation or commentary of the progress of our remaining order and after patiently waiting a further 10 minutes, expecting the other two meals to arrive; my friend approached the kitchen, obviously frustrated and rightfully so, asking for a refund of the remaing meals, beyond hungry at this point. Reasonable, I thought given the delay. But here comes the kicker, the delay and the meal quality wasn't the issue....there was an opportunity here for redemption by the staff. Instead of owning the error which was they lost our table order; offering a sincere apology and engaging with us to come to an acceptable resolution, the restaurant staff member began to escalate, unnecessarily raising her voice, swearing at my friend before curtly providing our refund for the remaining meals. Honestly the whole experience was unacceptable, no view, no matter how attractive will ever...

We had a very poor experience at the restaurant yesterday. As a regular patron I was deeply saddened. There were two chicken options on the child’s menu, nuggets & tenders. I wouldn’t give my grandson the reconstituted chicken nuggets, look up how they are made on YouTube. I asked the front of house staff if the nuggets or tenders were reconstituted. They didn’t know and said they would ask the kitchen staff. The response was that the nuggets were so I should have the more expensive tenders. What was delivered as the tenders was reconstituted, however, my grandson started to eat it before we noticed it. You can imagine what would have happened if I tried to take a meal away from a hungry 4-year-old. I did, however, express my concerns to the front of staff especially as I had specifically asked about the type of chicken. They said they would call the manager. On speaking to him the response was “everybody serves these as chicken tenders, we don’t make them here, if you wanted chicken you should have ordered a schnitzel”. If he assumed I was supposed to know this, you’d expect his staff to know too. No apology, no refund offer, no compensation offers like an ice-cream for the child. Poor service, poor attitude, and a discredit to the club. Since we came out of lockdown, we have made a conscious effort to support local businesses and have found overall that the experience has been extremely positive. There are better places to...

Ordered in advance for two vegan meals with no spices as my niece is sensitive to spice , we each got a bowl of “stir fry “ hard, barely cooked vegetables and the only thing I could taste was sesame oil and sweet chilli sauce, no choice, no variety and as I found it inedible no value, when I complained I got” we could cook you another” even though out of twelve meals the two vegan meals came out last , doesn’t take much to create something really incredible with vegetables, tofu, nuts , beans , textured vegetable proteins even vegan cheese type products , chef needs to research a bit more , one of the steaks was also very rare when medium was asked for but apart from that everyone else was very happy , just up your vegan choices because can’t keep killing innocent animals just to satisfy greed ,as far as the view goes it’s awesome during the day but as we were there at night we were relying on the food to be good , very disappointed, for the prices I expect much better quality, quantity was huge yet sadly inedible so , train your staff better,and staff didn’t seem happy to be working there and I was offered no refund after consuming two mouthfuls and no more so , won’t be going back and I’m a local...
