If you want to have fun on your travels in Perth do not use this hostel!!
So having booked in to stay at billabong for a few months with all my backpacker staff, I've found the night manager to be very intrusive and borderline harrasive with his approach.
we was told to leave three differant parts of the hostel by 2 members of staff at 11:45 on a Saturday night before going out.
Being sober and not a usual typical backpacker drunk I was taken back by how we was spoken to and treated even after trying to cooperate
On this occasion I assisted the night manager with cleaning the main room and carrying a customer to there Own bed however he was still obnoxious and very rude when having a conversation with me.
My plan for my company was to stay at billabong and bring the 20 members of staff with me whilst we built a fundraising company in Perth.
That's $12,000 in revenue every month which this hostel would have benefited from.
When I initially decided to stay here I was told it was backpacker friendly social and fun. Yet being sent to bed As a sober 26 year old man at 11:45 on a Saturday I feel this very far from the truth
It's a real shame actually as I've heard nothing but great things about this place, the facilities are what you'd expect from a backpackers. The nightly meal great value and the facilities are great.
I've had nothing but a positive response from everyone since I've worked here both staff and backpackers who stay here .
Apart from peter the night manager I'm unsure if he's unhappy in his job or maybe he's working too many hours but the way he had personally dealt with myself as seen me decide against this hostel me and the friends that are staying here are leaving Wednesday and will be pursuing...
