Ordered a pizza with clams and it was so terrible I couldn’t have more than a single bite. Clams were not visible and looked shredded, there was no sauce on the pizza and what looked like celery/pickle pieces (unsure about what it was, I’d have to double check on the menu) made the pizza taste even worse. When asked by a lovely waitress how our food was I told her I didn’t enjoy my pizza and apologised. She was really understanding. Went to pay for our bill and was asked again how our food was. I repeated that the pizza was really distasteful and suggested they take it off the menu. The waiter told me I was being aggressive. Mind you, I am a 20 year old RESPECTFUL female so I think I am and look far from aggressive. I expressed my opinion on the pizza because I was asked, and quite frankly I thought he was being aggressive, if anything. He went on about the use of “fresh ingredients” when that really wasn’t my point. I never asked whether the ingredients used were fresh, I suggested that clams cannot really be shredded and that the flavours altogether simply do not go well. And by the way, using fresh ingredients is exactly what a customer expects of you, so it really goes without saying. Clearly the waiter had no other response to my criticism rather play the defence card and calling me aggressive. Also, my friend ordered the gnocchi and they literally looked like they were deep fried in a pan, to the point where they were crunchy. I don’t know why they were cooked that way. She also ordered a dessert which never came. After waiting for about 40 minutes we gave up and left. I think as a business you should value criticism, especially when it comes from someone who has knowledge in the field. Not be attacked for it. Even more so when it has been done in a respectful and civil manner. I am Italian had have eaten at restaurants everywhere around Italy, so I know what is to be expected from what I order. The worst part of it was that we ended up paying for both the pizza and the dessert that never came, after being told that the pizza was going to be removed from the bill. With that being said, I will not be returning to Si Paradiso and neither will the two other people that were with me. Unfortunately I was not able to grab the waiter’s name. Absolutely rude and...
Read moreShocking service waiting to get in & disappointment only continues inside. We waited in line for 30+ mins when 10+ people came out & nobody was being allowed in, yet girls were walking straight in past security? We asked how long the wait would be & staff were so rude & nonchalant. When we eventually got let in the venue was dead.. attitude of all the door staff was so poor. Lady with the black hair & glasses wouldn’t let some of our group in because they had ‘sportswear’ on, aka a western force jersey as we had been to the game. When he took it off, he wasn’t even allowed to bring it in with him & there is no cloakroom… sorry what do you expect someone to do with their clothing when you don’t provide a cloakroom? A male bouncer also questioned a girl in the group if she was wearing leggings- she had to prove the fabric was in fact denim. Absolutely disgusting customer service. Your dress code is more important than being actual decent humans. Once inside, the female toilets were disgusting with 2 cubicles only & no loo roll. In addition, some glasses were knocked over & it took a random customer to grab the broom to sweep up & he cleared our glasses! He didn’t even work there! Used to rate this venue but our group will not be returning after this, the experience with the door staff really soured...
Read moreExtremely disappointed. I usually spend time at si paradiso and i never had a problem. I completely understand in regards to the restrictions due to covid-19. BUT. I made a booking for my birthday during this time as restrictions have eased and I booked for 15 people TWO WEEKS PRIOR via email.
When we arrive the person at the door claims that there was no email received. I showed her TWO confirmations to clarify my booking was confirmed, nothing was taken in consideration and put into practice to help and resolve the problem with the error. It felt like she didn’t care and did not want to help.
As I said, I completely understand and I know it’s hard and businesses are trying to do the right thing during this period of time. But this was unacceptable in terms of customer service and the feeling of a inconsiderate welcome.
I’m not asking for anything in return or trying to cause any negativity, but unfortunately this is not fair. The manager did absolutely nothing about it! During this time of pandemic the manager should of tried to do something about this and try to make the customer happy with most appropriate way possible! I’m sorry to approach this way but customer service is crucial because at the end of the day, the customers spend the money for...
