Bel Mondo Apartments — Hotel in Wollongong City Council

Room was nice and clean.

Owner Mario was rude, condescending and lied to gain access into my room.

Lies included “having someone over I shouldn’t have” - to which I said check the camera and he immediately changed the subject.

“Checking the smoke alarm” - I gave him access to my room and he walked through without checking the alarm and said the “owner” instructed him to do so.

In conclusion, the rooms are nice, location is nice, however Mario is extremely rude and intrusive, my stay ended up being very uncomfortable and not to mention the constant footsteps heard coming from the upper floors.

If you want peace and quiet, look elsewhere as this is not the place to rest.

BE WARY...

Bel Mondo is a hidden gem, beautifully presented and tucked away from traffic. The room was spotlessly clean and very spacious for the price. Mario meet us at the front driveway and guided us into the secure of Street parking. He is one of those old school Gentlemen that are simply too far and few these days, he walked us to our room and made sure that we are settled and happy. Nothing was to much trouble for Mario. His apartments are the best value for money that I have experienced. When we next visit Wollongong (which is a couple of times a year) we will definitely be staying...

I am just back home from a very pleasant stay with my sister and baby niece in the Bel Mondo apartments!! There is a well equipped kitchenette! We cooked both nights!
