Argo Serviced Apartments — Hotel in Wollongong City Council

Wow Wow Wow 'Feel the Argo Welcome ' :) LOVE this place! Designer Chic and Subtle Elegance meets Practical and Functional.... Nothing not to like about this place - all shiny and new. So beautiful there is too much to mention - but here are the highlights. Minimalist without feeling stark ,with a neutral palette of crisp cool white with greys - which succeeds as super stylish. Solid build and a lot of thought has been placed into the detail of the design, layout, floor plans, fit out, furnishings and accessories. Every tile is millimetre perfect and tap wear and door hardware ooze quality. Carpet is divine and so are the bespoke fabric bed heads. Really friendly and helpful staff who have the coolest uniforms, central location with walk to beach, pleasant views, comfy beds , gorgeous bathroom amenities range, a window that opens in the bathroom, large wall mounted flat screen TV in each room, outdoor power point on the balcony, with Netflix Foxtel and 'Alexa'. What more could one want. If we were ever going to sell up out of Sydney hectic to Wollongong, we'd want to purchase an apartment by this developer who clearly has much experience and brand integrity. The apartment was lovely. The one thing that spoiled the experience was being phoned by them 5 hours after we had left and were 70 miles away. They asked if we still had one of the plastic key cards they had given us. It was one of those cards you get at most hotels now, that are programmed for your room and generally you toss them or leave at reception when you leave. We had to leave one in the electricity point so as to power the dishwasher they wanted us to put on when vacating the property. The other was needed to open the security shutters in the car park in the basement, so we could drive our hire car out of. So, not surprisingly , in my opinion , we didn't drop this key at reception, which would have meant stopping on the road out front and going back to reception. I was given a choice to either return the key/blank plastic card ( I was 70 miles away by then), post it back within 24 hours or pay 15 Australian dollars. ||Just soured the stay for us, as these cards certainly don't cost that much money, and I was not informed at any time that I was required to return the second key/ plastic card to the...

I booked 3 rooms for my wedding, last weekend. We stayed 2 nights. Everything was great.. until we left & checked out.

I made sure left each apartment in great condition. With only one , with a couple of items left in room: a spare wedding dress, high heels, another dress which were left hanging up in a closet.

Apparently there were tiny marks left on the lounge which we believe were not made by anyone in the room as none of us had a pink texter.

I was made aware that our $250 bond will not be returned due to cleaning fees. Which I think is absolutely ridiculous.

I made sure rubbish was taken down to the bins in the B & all cutlery & plates were all in the dishwasher & cleaned.

It’s ridiculous and disappointing to be charged for something I know we did not do & on such a special occasion which unfortunately ruined our whole weekend & ultimately our wedding

I will make sure to never return & leg friends and family know to not make bookings in the future.
