Hotel Salzburg 4-Sterne Familie Hochbein — Hotel in Salzburg

In the last couple of years I have been to Salzburg several times (business and vacation).||From all the hotels I stayed so far the Hotel Salzburg is by far the best in terms of Location, price/performance ratio, staff, etc.!||||It is close to the airport/ highway and the city center of Salzburg is about 5 - 10 minutes away. I had once a Suite and the other day a normal room. The Suite was simply amazing; I have never seen such a big, clean and modern room for this amount of money in a 4 star hotel. The normal room was perfect and very big too.||||This Hotel is one of the few Hotels which is still family owned and managed. And at the end this is really paying off. You can feel that every stuff member is doing everything in order to make your stay as comfortable as possible. It´s just not comparable with bigger Hotel chains. ||||The Italian restaurant which is located in the Hotel is excellent too - very good food and a nice/ typical Italian atmosphere what is adding a lot of value to the charm of the Hotel Salzburg as well.||||Overall the Hotel Salzburg is/was simply a perfect place to stay and it is the only address for me when I am coming back to...

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming family-run hotel in Salzburg during a recent business trip. As someone who has worked in the hotel industry and has high expectations—especially while traveling for work—I was truly impressed by the quality and warmth of this place.

From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed. The hotel has a personal touch that’s hard to find these days. Everything was spotless, the rooms were cozy and well-equipped, and the atmosphere was calm and professional—perfect for both rest and work. The location is also excellent: peaceful yet conveniently close to the city center.

A special thank you to Sascha, who made my stay even more enjoyable with his friendliness, helpful attitude, and attention to detail. It’s rare to experience such sincere hospitality, and it really made a difference during a demanding work trip.

Llegamos al hotel y nos sorprende que el hotel está situado a más de 5 kilómetros del castillo (burg) de la sal (salz), una distancia que parece excesiva para un hotel del centro de una ciudad que en realidad es por tamaño un pueblo, pero por facturación por el turismo una gran urbe.|| ||Es cierto que está cerca del aeropuerto, por llamar las instalaciones de alguna forma, pero el aeropuerto es muy pequeño. Cabe destacar, que lo mejor que tiene el aeropuerto es que está cerca de los Alpes y la salida con el videojuego de google earth desde allí es muy bonita, por el paisaje, pero allí lo que más vuelan son avionetas y el que tiene avioneta se va a dormir al Sacher Hotel, no aquí.||No nos engañemos que el hotel, por tanto está puesto pegado a un outlet en una zona casi industrial.|| ||En cambio, la impresión que transmite el hotel por dentro es que está limpio y renovado.|| ||La gran sorpresa la encontramos en el baño que en vez de estar separado de la habitación, por meter una habitación en un sitio que no cabe, forma parte del mismo, separado solamente por unos cristales.|| ||Tal vez, para una pareja de tortolitos, puede ser muy interesante VER lo que hace la pareja en el baño, pero dos amigos necesitan un mínimo de intimidad, no es necesario ver al compañero sentado en el baño. Intentamos cambiar la habitación, pero la que nos atendió en la entrada dijo (o se inventó) que "era lo que había"|| ||En definitiva, un hotel para aquellos que vayan a Salzburgo, pero que prefieran estar lejos de las bolas de Mozart(es decir, que preferían no haber ido a Salzburgo) o un buen hotel para una pareja de recién enamorados, pero no para turistas, amantes de las tradiciones, de las artes, de la cultura, del patrimonio de la humanidad, de la historia, ni gente con avioneta privada (mejor que omitan el hotel, si tienen sueño que aguanten unos minutos más y lleguen a las afueras del pueblo, quedarse a dormir pegado a la pista es solamente para camioneros...
