The restaurant was not available and we were told beforehand so I can’t rate that. |However the room size for 3 was plenty and was good for the price.|The room was clean and had one larger bed a a single that were a little firm but comfortable, pillows and a blanket on each and were nicely made. A small table was in the middle of the room under a tv with on a pivot arm, so if you travel with an hdmi cable you’ll be able to access it. There were two windows/doors that were both useable and on even led to a small patio with a couple of chairs. Inclement weather kept us from utilizing this. There is also a standing fan for use and a wardrobe to keep your clothes in.|The building is situated between a couple of bus stops for easy access so pick up a day pass for your duration. Using google maps will tell you which bus number to get on and when to exit the bus. |The bathroom was well equipped and has an enclosed corner shower which is small (3.5ft/4ft square?) so keep your elbows in! Shower gel was provided as was hand soap at the sink. The towel rack was right about the radiator if you want to warm up your towels prior. Any time after May and you might not want to. |The hotel isn’t flashy and the lobby is nice and well done. We stayed for 3 nights and tried to opt for an additional night but the room was already booked. We didn’t have any street noise and didn’t really hear any room neighbors until the last night. |Thank you to the staff for their...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed two nights, and returned for a further night at end of our tour. A comfortable hotel, reasonably located for sight seeing, and on a bus route. The window construction does reduce traffic noise, and although no A/C, does have fans. Breakfast was fairly basic for the fee charged. The reception is not manned after 6pm, and there is a late check in system. We arrived at Salzburg airport at 8pm, and there were no taxis!! Not many flights arrive mid/late evening, so taxi drivers do not frequent the airport regularly. There is a No 2 bus from the airport that passes the hotel, but you need small change to use the ticket machine. The bus driver would not let us pay on the bus. So we waited with another couple for a taxi, which did eventually arrive!! The hotel give you a pass code for the key box situated outside the main hotel entrance door. There are numbered trays with the keys inside. When I inputed the pass code the key tray didn't open. After a few attempts with growing frustration I snatched at the tray after putting in the code and the tray opened. Warning....you literally have about 2 seconds to pull the tray after putting the code in....before it locks again. All in all, a...
Read moreI booked this hotel rather short notice because of involuntary changes in my travel plans. To avoid time consuming searching I took the first option that booking.com suggested. To my surprise I was really lucky. It took me about 15 minutes to reach the hotel via bus from the airport. Since I arrived late at night I had to check in with a provided code at the locker outside of the building. The whole process went smoothly. Entering the building I was pleased to see how well maintained the whole place was considering its age. The room itself provided enough space for two people, the bathroom and its appliances are a little worn down but work perfectly, the whole place struck me as extraordinarily clean. My room had a window facing the street but the window kept the noise out, so I slept through the remaining night. Breakfast is until 10am and provides everything one needs, fresh legumes and fruit, different types of bread, yogurt, sweets just to give you a perspective. I highly recommend the hotel for solo travellers like me, easy to reach from the airport and train station, cleanliness and...
