The Landmark Hotel Baku — Hotel in Baku City

Large room, clean and good location for shops bars and restaurants. WiFi worked well throughout the hotel. My room had AC , mini bar ( fridge) and a safe. Good gym and 25m pool. My gripes were that the tv had no HDMi input (for Fire Stick) and most channels are not English. Sounds trivial but when working away from home its one of those little luxuries you miss. the cooked breakfast buffet was cold most days. I usually went for breakfast at 6am and i think they put the food in to heat through from underneath, rather than cooking it and keeping it warm. I went at 7am one day and it was good. They chef will cook eggs to order which 8s good. Also, if you ask for tea they give you green tea so if you like a traditional cuppa ask...

The rooms are large and comfortable with good showers. However that's the only good part of this hotel. Terrible customer service, poor house keeping, and definitely not 5* (closer to a high 2, low 3).

The room was not clean on checking in, and regularly not cleaned sufficiently throughout my 3 month stay, hot water switched off for 3 days without warning or explanation, poor wifi in rooms (often wouldn't work at night), lots of construction works going on inside the hotel, and out of our group several people had items go missing from their rooms which the management refused to act on.

If you are in Baku for one night it should be fine, but for anything longer, avoid this hotel...

I stayed in this hotel more than 6 weeks because I am travelling to Baku every 2 weeks.|I'll start with the good parts: Gym, sauna and pool, which are quite good, room size, which is more than enough, everyday cleaning, executive lounge room, and...that's it!|Negative parts, please remember this hotel is rated 5stars:|- no hot water for several days.|- excessive noise from other rooms.|- electricity failure for several times in few mintes (i understood it is common for Baku).|- very bad internet, most of the time not working|- low quality and low diversity breakfast.|I'm coming from Europe, where such hotel will never get more...
