I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Wyndham Garden Bahrain, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. Very spacious room, with plenty of bathrooms. We were a family of 5 and it was convenient. The beds are very comfortable, and it was easy to get an extra rollaway bed in the living room. The bean bag was an absolute delight for the children! The Indian restaurant was very good and also open late with finger-licking good food. The housekeeping staff is very polite and helpful, but when we moved in, the kitchen trash wasn't emptied. The Jacuzzi is under maintained, and one has to fill it with the hand shower- tried switching it and it leaked out water from underneath the tub. The other bathroom shower wasn't working and we had to call a plumber to fix it. There was a leak in the kitchen sink and the hotel wasn't prompt in sending staff to clean it up. We had to make a couple of calls to get them to actually come. It was sad that the balcony door was locked and no access was provided, as it is desirable to get some sun and fresh air sometimes over a cup of tea. About the breakfast - one has to specifically request the staff to get you coffee from the machine, as they first by default bring you a cup of instant coffee that is really bad. This happened 2 days in a row. Also, they were extremely hasty about clearing away the plates, while we were still eating, in-spite of the fact that we were not late for the breakfast.This is extremely uncomfortable and takes away from the experience of a relaxing hotel stay. The made to order omelettes were quickly served and delicious. They were definitely the highlight of the breakfast- but you had to eat them fast before your plate got whisked away!

The location is really bad and hard to get to after navigating through narrow and congested lanes with heavy traffic. Parking garage is so tight on space that only compact cars can easily park there, in front of the building is the only other option and it gets busy even with an attendant trying to help out. We checked in late Thursday night and the room access key wasn't working. We had to run down to the reception twice over to get them replaced after repeated fails in unlocking the door. They were not adequately staffed to send help over to the room and we found it inconvenient to keep going back down to get the keys fixed, especially with tired children in tow.
