If you read the reviews, they are promising. I didn’t feel the ‘ wow ‘ factor at all if I’m truly honest. The restaurant was virtually empty on a Saturday evening. Only five people were there and I almost turned away. I was seated next to the stage area of where a duo performed not long after I started my meal.
I opted for the 25 dinar (£50) package. That is all you can eat and soft drinks included. I went to the salad counter and found nothing to whet my appetite at all. So I returned to my seat and had a hot garlic roll brought to me. Texture was filling and unique in taste, that is there wasn’t much garlic inside!
Then the meat started to arrive. The Passadores ( waiter ) Alemayehu, was excellent and made sure I knew exactly what I was being served. He was very polite, professional and engaging. He’s a credit to the restaurant. I asked for stir fried vegetables and got given a child’s portion of steamed ones instead.
I requested some thickly cut chips and not fries. I got served chips that were obviously frozen and poor quality. I had mineral water and a soft drink. The meats served ranged from rib eye, picanha, prime rib, tri-tip, garlic steak, Brazilian pork and lamb. All were cooked to my liking, medium rare. The sauces I had didn’t do the meat justice whatsoever. Bland, tasteless and forgettable.
The highlight for me was the caramelised pineapple for desert. A few others were brought, they were not to my liking unfortunately. The duo sang a selection of over familiar tunes. I found it intrusive at first, but they won me over as they were very animated. I won’t return though,...

I'm out of words for this place. I've heard mixed reviews of this place, but mostly good ones. However, I'm going to try and express my experience with this restaurant.
First, the view is magnificent. And to be able to visit this restaurant in such a season where the weather is lovely, it's quite breathtaking.
Second, the food. Oh, the food!! Normally, I'm skeptical about places that serve you an all you can eat meal because usually that's when the quality is not at its best. Via Brazil has painted a while different picture there. The food is delicious. The waiters are friendly, and they make sure to keep your glass full at all times.
I think Brazilian steakhouse is my new favorite thing because now it's in my top ten recommendations. Every bite had me feeling in awe, and every time they came in with a new steak, I was introduced to a burst of delightful flavors. Let's not forget the garlic bread. I have tried garlic bread in many restaurants and in many countries. I am still astounded by the way this bread melts in your mouth. If I could learn of one secret this world has to offer in the culinary world, it would be how to make this garlic bread.
Third, the chef. Chef Kalie is not only one of the top chefs in my book but also one of the most respected people. The fact that she visited us at our table to check on our experience of the food and indulged in conversation about her passion for cooking truly makes this whole experience worth every bit!!
If you haven't already been to Via Brazil, I HIGHLY recommend you visit this place. You are in...
Read moreMy review goes first to the staff over there...what a group of amazing and dedicated employees, committed to make their customers entertained at all times, with food and drinks. Our group of 13 people never had our plates dirty or glasses empty, since our arrival at 1700hs (time advertised as the starting of the "Pagode na Laje"party)...Congrats to all of you guys !!! Well, now let me talk about the party itself...we had the highest hopes we could have, as a group of brazilian friends...we were called by the ad of a "Pagode na Laje" party there last 27/Sep...Pagode is a variation of the traditional samba music, with more romantic lyrics and usually performed by small groups or bands...from the time we stayed there, until the time we left (17hs to 2230hs more or less) not a single "pagode" was heard by any of us !!! So, the pagode party does not have any pagode songs ? That was not very fair and the ad was not correct as well. Conclusion: after being living 10 years in Saudi and going to Bahrain pretty much ever weekend, wife and I will never go back there again...andI can tell you our other 11 friends neither ! Two stars only for the...
