Hotel Highgarden — Hotel in Dhaka Metropolitan

I stayed here on 02/03/2023 the pictures of the hotel itself looked great but the condition of the hotel is terrible and very deceiving.

First of all, the AC unit was taped together. There was no hot water, the room was infested with mosquitos, I slept an hour but then woke up to having been bitten all over and at 4am a very large droning noise started which when I queried it, was the water pump. Not sure why they'd want to turn that on at 4am with a full house of guests!

On check out, the receptionist gave me the bill and attempted to take full payment for the room even though I had paid online. He also tried to charge me 4000BDT transfer to and from DAC airport even though they told me the cost was 1000BDT on the phone before I booked. He called his boss and said I am causing 'jamela' and refusing to pay, though I explained I had already paid online and that I won't agree to pay the 4k transfer fees when they told me it'd be 2k round trip. Also no breakfast provided even though it said it was included.

Booked through booking.com with no-return policy at lowest rate with breakfast included.||In Uttara it seems to be the best place to stay. I made the conclusion based on booking.com. The hotel is small. On booking.com it is promoted as 4star hotel but it is 3star hotel.||Service is very good. The staff always try to help you and meet all your needs. Verry supportive.||Breakfast is very good. I also liked the restaurant which works 24/7. If you do not find something on a Menu they will defenitaly try to meet your needs. Free bottle of still water everyday at your room. ||The room is of avarage quality. I stayed in junior suite. No window view. Wallpapers need renovation. I do not liked the smell in the room. ||But it all depends on your wallet. I would rather stay at some worldwide chain hotel but there is no any at Uttara. ||I rate the hotel as "avarage" mainly due to the quality of the rooms. There is one thing to consider in my rating. Previously I always stay at 4 to 5star hotels so my view could be somehow prejudiced...

I had a very enjoyable and memorable stay at Hotel HighGarden in Uttara, Dhaka. It is a 3* hotel near the airport with reasonable price. Rooms are very clean and spacious, reception area is also spacious and well decorated. Buffet breakfast had reasonable choices with fresh juice and eggs made to order. The airport pick up and drop off (free) was on time and the driver, Shariful, was very polite and courtious. All hotel staff were well trained, very polite and professional; many thanks to Robiul at Housekeeping for his excellent service. Lastly, I must mention Mr Jobaer Ahmed, in-charge of Sales and marketting, for his hospitality, professionalism and excellent service. I would highly recommend this hotel and will...
