Real Thai Sky Cafe — Restaurant in Dhaka Metropolitan

Environment 5/5 Taste 5/5 Customer service 5/5 Quantity vs. price 2/5 I would love to give 5/5 or 4/5 but the only reason I didn't give higher is below: I know this kind of restaurant which is situated on 14th floor on rooftop where you pay extra for a grand experience.for me the experience was half-baked because of the absence of items provided in dessert section.i asked for cream caramel first but they said instantly it was not available...then i asked for "mango sticky rice"...they came back while we were dining with an excuse that "the mango they brought from Thailand was not ripe yet"....well,that was an expensive excuse but an excuse nonetheless.they didn't have much selection of continental and the items they provide should be available.Yet the taste of each items were good but not great enough for that hefty price tag.i tried nacho beef, fettuccine Alfredo, seafood pasta or noodles and chocolate sundae...each of the items had a distinguishable taste from other restaurants...so kudos to that...but still the second highest expensive nachos i have tried was only 250 taka where as this one is priced at 450 taka...so it's your money,your experience...i am just here...

the service, behavior & decoration set up is magnificent. but as its a restaurant, food taste & quality is the biggest thing that matters, but i am afraid they failed miserably at it. food is not good, but my words are a bit harsh because the food price was high. price is not a matter but the food must be good.

i ordered som tam which the traditional thai green papaya salad. but unfortunately they gave me basically shreded papaya, cabbage, tomato & green beans mixed with fish sauce & fried peanuts. its wrong! you must mix the veggies with mash of peanut paste & fish sauce. it looked like they cooked it without any kind of care.

also ordered traditional pad thai, my favorite but yet again they made a joke out of it too. i chose the chicken & prawn mixed. but they made it with just chicken, i didn’t find any prawn. & it was not pad thai! they just made chowmin but instead of regular noodles they used the rice noodles. but the taste is just chowmin.

totally disappointed....

Real thai has nice interior and the sky cafe is instagrammable. The price is at par with other thai restaurants of similar category. However, the food isn't. Food is not bad but it is not as good as similar restaurants. We ordered the following: Tom yum soup: really good 👍 Chicken cashew nut salad: not that good. The dressing was good but it had very less chicken and very less cashewnut. Also, for the price, the quantity was very less Mixed fried rice: good Chicken red curry: I did not like this. The Gravy was a bit thin.
