Lake Terrace — Restaurant in Dhaka Metropolitan

On 17 March of this year before starting my quarantine days I went outside for having my lunch with a childhood friend. So I wanted to spend some quality time with him in a peaceful environment. So according to his food choice we went to a restaurant at Uttara where we may find some juicy Beef steaks for us. The name of the restaurant is “Lake Terrace”. It is situated in the Lake Drive Road of sector 7 in Uttara. I have loved the place too much that I could not stop myself from reviewing it. This restaurant is located in the rooftop of a building surrounding with trees and they have a fresh natural environment from where we have enjoyed the lake’s view. They have both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. Though we went there on a sunny day, we choose to seat outdoor in a corner of their second floor which is perfect for couples or friends like us to gossip and enjoy the food there. Those were two seating arrangements. They have seating arrangement for about two hundred people at a time. Family, friends, office meetings can be easily arranged there. Now I want to talk about the main thing which is their food, we have chosen “steak house” cuisine from their “Steakhouse, American, Seafood” cuisines. We ordered two Sirloin steak (Medium Rare) of 300 grams. They served it with mashed potatoes and rice. I found the stake to be perfect. I liked that juicy stake it too much that I would like to visit the place as soon as possible. The price of their food is fear enough according to their quality...

Place: It is a place with great view. The restaurant is over the rooftop of a building on the banks of a lake. It is a romantic place with indoor & outdoor seating, candle lights and mini tent like structures.

But.. But, there are a lots of mosquitoes at night. Probably it's better in the daytime.

Price: its a bit expensive.

Overall its ok.

What i had: I had the chicken steak, chicken strips. There was a fried rice/spaghetti mentioned in the menu with the chicken steak- i chose the spaghetti. French fry was served with the chicken steak.

Taste:

Chicken strips-The strips were good. Meat was tender inside, exterior was crispy; not hard at all.

French fries- tasted good.

Spaghetti- I could figure out the ingredients in the spaghetti. It was cooked using butter, Blackpepper, probably a bit olive oil. i liked the light smell/aroma and the texture of the spaghetti. It was not spicy at all.

Chicken steak- the steak didn't taste good. Actually it tasted like nothing at all. It looked good. It was well cooked and juicy too. But the taste was very bland. Not even the french fry or the spaghetti or the sauces served with it helped taste it better. Later I took it as a parcel cause i couldn't keep eating it, and gave it away to a beggar in the street. 1st of all I will tell Lake Terrace is a rooftop restaurant. Before I get into the food and service you can expect, let me talk about the atmosphere for a bit. The restaurant is divided into two sections - an outdoor section and an indoor section. The outdoor section contains tables and chairs set in a pattern to improve the aesthetics of the place. The indoors boasts modern decorations with a lot of woodwork and some clever color combinations. The view is spectacular, you will almost feel like you're dining over the Uttara Lake if you take one of the tables at the corners.

Now on to the food. Their best item, hands down is the Buffalo Wild Wings and and Grilled Sea-Bass. Whole Sea-Bass grilled and served with delicious Italian Tomato Olive Sauce, Roasted Potato, Rice, and Seasonal Vegetable. BDT 715. They also make good steaks. I particularly enjoy the rib-eye, done "medium". The Mix Grill Platter II is a good bang for your buck as well.
