Brand new (1.5yrs old, if I remember right) hotel attached to Therme Erding. It was quite busy and full while I was there. Lots of families there to visit the water park. fairly long queue at checkin as many people arrive early and take advantage of the free use of the water park and sauna areas.
They don't provide rooms until 3, so they will hold your luggage and give you wrist bands for access to the Therme and for a locker. Use fo the Sauna Paradies (the amazing no clothing, adults only sauna area) is E12 extra, I believe (which was a disappointment).
Parking is free. The lobby is modern and offers a view into one of the many pools in the waterpark section. Main corridors on the bedroom floors is glass with LED mood lighting....something like the tunnel at DTW airport. Rooms are exactly as seen on their website. Spacious, new, clean.
Separate toilet room and shower/sink area. Closets hidden in the walls...a bit small and oddly shaped due to the shape of the room. Nice waterfall shower with an additional handheld head. Vanity is really too much sink and not enough counter...a giant glass basin with two spigots, but very little room to set things on the surface (though there is under counter storage). No dryer that I saw. My wife would have hated getting set up on that surface...but, hey, most people are there just to spend the day at the pools and probably have not a care for their makeup, lol.
Bed was of good size and comfortable. Pillows were atrocious...too thin and limp, as seems to be the preference in Germany. Small desk/working area with a few outlets. Small couch to sit on. Small side table surfaces near the bed with outlets nearby.
Flooring and seating surfaces are a white vinyl type material...I forsee it looking scuzzy pretty quickly.
Breakfast was ok. Not a huge variety, but cereal, yogurt, fruit, cold cuts, eggs (scrambled or fried/omelet on demand), sausages, bacon, mushrooms (oddly, no potatoes), bread and pastries. Coffee machine, juice, water. Lots of kids running around.
Overall, I found it a bit too expensive as a =hotel only, but with the waterpark attached, that makes it easier. Still didn't like to have to pay extra for the Sauna Paradies.
Another thing I did not care for was having to pay for the entire visit in advance and the fact that, nowhere on the website leading up to the purchase can you find the terms (definitely not anywhere in English and Google translate left more questions than answers), but they have a cancellation policy that allows cancellation up to three weeks prior to the date and then, I think 80% charge after that. A little outrageous. I made my plans only a few days before I travelled, so it was not a big deal to me...but will limit my plans in the future.
The Therme is awesome... and the Sauna Paradies is heaven. I try to visit it whenever I come to Munich. Wish we weren't too hung up to have the same...
