Today (1st of June) is supposed to be my check out day from Buta Boutique hotel. Me and my four friends checked in on the 26th of May 2021. We booked four rooms and three of them are the family room (which ends in 02 in each floor) because they are roomier.
The staff was not friendly from check in.
And now during check out, they accused a friend of using the mini bar while he didn't.
We booked the rooms using booking.com And we had nonissue with booking But now during check out the reception increased the price. So I called from my room to check what was the problem. The manager on duty, Olena, answered my call. I was asking why the prices were changed. She claimed that there was a mistake from their side during check in and the prices given to us where wrong. So i said: "If i made a mistake I will fix it and pay for it. Here you made a mistake, and you are the manager on duty so you have the authority to fix the issue." She got upset and hung up the phone on me.
I don't know how things are done here. But I dealt with other hotels in Minsk and never faced a treatment like this. When a mistake happens hotels care about their reputation and they fix the issue. They don't treat their customers like garbage. They certainly do not hang up the phone in the middle of the conversation. This is a big insult. If she claims the line was disconnected then this is an utter lie. She did not call back if the line was connected. And I heard the sound of the phone closing.
This is my first and will be my last stay here. I will not be recommending the hotel to anyone. Actually, i will be recommending people to stay away from this hotel.
Also, check the white plastic tray that holds the tea bags, sugar and coffee because it had dust, dirt and small hairs in it. The bath robe had a long hair stuck to it. And when I moved the glass next to the washbasin it had a long hair beneath it.
No wonder why we were the only guests during...
Read moreI have recently returned from a 4-night stay at Boutique Buta Hotel with my other half. We were anxious that we might struggle to communicate with staff but their English was very good. ||Our every need was taken care of during our stay, and always efficiently. The staff on reception and in the restaurant were very helpful. One of the cleaners who we met was also very nice. ||We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel as we had a number of trips planned which involved early starts. At $18pp I am not sure it would have been good value anyway as there are a number of places in the local area which offer a much more reasonably priced breakfast, though we had to go to McDonald’s one morning for breakfast as it was the only place nearby which was open at 7am. ||Our room on the top floor was well sized, luxurious and very comfortable. We had a view out over the city centre including the Piščalaŭski Castle prison which houses death row inmates! ||There is a small spa area in the basement of the hotel which includes some very limited gym equipment, a sauna, and a small heated swimming pool. The pool is not long enough to do any meaningful exercise in but it was nice to use after a cardio session on the cross trainer. The opening hours of the spa area are limited to a couple of hours in the morning and a couple of hours late afternoon/early evening. ||The hotel also houses a 24H casino, in which you will also find a currency exchange desk. There is a dress code for the casino (not terribly strict, just no sports gear I think) but even if you only want to go to the currency exchange you will need to adhere to such dress code. ||The hotel is well located, a short walk away from many of Minsk’s top tourist attractions. For anything slightly further afield, we used the metro which was really easy to navigate and very reasonably priced. ||We really enjoyed our stay here and wouldn’t hesitate...
