The hotel occupies a historical building right in the heart of Minsk. I received a friendly welcome and was checked in in minutes.||||My single room was of decent size, furnished in a classical way and impeccably clean and fresh. Two large windows and a balcony that opened to Lenin street. The bed was fine, the pillows, however, of low quality. There was a large desk and a separate dinner table for two. Two 0.5 L water bottles were provided and replenished daily. A safe was provided. Wifi, while free and unlimited, was spotty at times. The AC worked okay in moderate summer temperatures but I wonder whether it’s effective enough during a heatwave.||||The bathroom was also clean and clearly recently renovated. There was a deep bathtub which came with a handheld as well as a wall-mounted shower with good water pressure. All the usual amenities were provided, incuding bath salts and a dental kit.||||Breakfast was served 8 am – 11 am, but was extremely expensive considering the price level in the city (25 € for buffet, 10 € for continental), so I did not try it. You can basically have a full three-course meal at the Grand Café opposite the hotel for the same price…||||In the basement, there was a relaxing pool area with a hot tub, swimming pool, Turkish hammam and Finnish sauna, open 7 am – 11 pm. It was very quiet during my stay and so refreshing. An attendat is present at all times, and it’s free of charge for guests.||||The hotel arranged pick-up from the airport, about 43 km or 35 min away, in a private car for 50 BYN (roughly 18 EUR), a very decent price. This is a service I highly recommend, so you can avoid the taxi scammers at the airport. The driver met me outside customs with a sign carrying my name, and the fee can be paid in the card with a credit card or in cash.||||The hotel enjoys an excellent location, with most sights within walking distance. There’s a supermarket on the same block and several good restaurants in the vicinity.||||I liked the city very much and I’m already looking forward to my next trip to Minsk. I’ll be sure to stay at The Europe the next...
Read moreI really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Hotel Europe is located in the heart of the city - the old town in particular. Local bus and metro stops are within easy walking distance, as are numerous restaurants, cafes, museums, bars, etc.||||The Staff is very friendly and accommodating and they speak very good English.||||The hotel is immaculately clean, from the lobby, to the spa, to the rooms.||||My room was warm (literally) and the bathroom floor was heated - great during winter! Robes and slippers in the room were nice. I used them often to go down to the pool/spa area. The bed and pillows were quite comfortable, the room was quiet (I was on the 5th floor), the Wi-Fi worked well, plenty of soaps/shampoos in the bathroom... In short, the room was really nice. On our second day the hotel left a large basket of fruit - yum! Bottles of water were left in the room every day, as well (though, this isn't entirely environmentally friendly...).||||Loved the pool/sauna/spa. I had it to myself everyday. The room and the water was always warm and there was always an attendant to give me towels and turn on the jets in the spa. Loved the decor and atmosphere in the pool room - cozy, warm, quiet.||||There is a restaurant and bar/lounge area, though I didn't try either. There is also a beauty spa and salon on site, where you can get massages also.||||Overall a super hotel. Location is perfect, service is excellent, and the rooms are great. (I can't comment on the breakfast, as I didn't pay for it and thus...
Read moreThe hotel is close to restaurants, shopping, and sightseeing. The staff are helpful and friendly. One gentleman arranged tours for us. BUT. The restaurant closes for private events with no notice to hotel guests. We planned to eat in one rainy night but discovered st the moment that the restaurant was closed and had to venture out. The business center is one lone laptop that will write only in Russian with no instructions how to change to English. The hotel indicates it has a wine bar but..not really. The lobby bar is small and very limited although the bartenders are very courteous. The room was clean and comfortable, although a bit warm since the weather was...
