Upon entering, I was welcomed by exhibits that traced the city’s development from a medieval settlement to the modern metropolis it is today. Each section of the museum is thoughtfully curated, showcasing the city’s resilience through periods of war, Soviet influence, and eventual independence. I was particularly moved by the displays dedicated to World War II, which highlighted Minsk’s significant suffering and bravery during Nazi occupation. Interactive installations and audio guides provided additional depth, making the visit not only educational but also deeply engaging. I also appreciated the personal stories of Minsk residents woven throughout the exhibits, which added a human touch to the historical timeline. The museum building itself is beautifully restored, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall experience. My visit to the Minsk City History Museum was both enlightening and inspiring. It offered a meaningful perspective on the city’s enduring spirit and left me with a deeper appreciation for its culture and people.

Музей Истории города Минска это всего лишь название - Государственное учреждение «Музей истории города Минска». В здании по адресу посмотреть модно только на картины Савицкого (творчество «на любителя»). Периодически проходят доп. выставки, например сейчас выставка фарфора. Маленькая комната с небольшой коллекцией. Ну и в дополнение: В туалете вытереть руки нечем. А сушилка не работает (провод не в розетке, может в этом причина)))) Сдачу неправильно дали на кассе.

Маленький уютный музей. По адресу ул. Революционная, 10, его часть - галерея белорусского художника Леонида Щемелева (род. в 1923 г.) На них можно увидеть Беларусь времен молодости автора. В одном из залов в данный момент - проект "минская квартира": быт горожан в 60-х - 80-х годах XX века. Все очень мило и душевно для того, у кого есть собственные воспоминания об этом времени.
