Espace Sushi — Restaurant in Etterbeek

If you are veteran in Jap food, don't trust any comments more than 2 stars. I ordered the most expensive set that costs EUR 25, claiming to have small portions of all the variety. But I was shocked when the main dish came, that they only offer three types of fishes and use them on all 6 sushi, about 10 pieces of sashimi and 4 maki rolls! (except one ebi (shrimp)). Unbelievably narrow and they don't even mention in the menu what choices of sushi you can have, but only the chef picks. They said they offer only three types of fish because locals are not quite fond of others like uni (urchin) or squid etc... One good thing is that you'll be well served and all of them are very polite and the sake at EUR 6 is just okay, but that cannot compensate my ground flat disappointment on the menu which I think is absolutely over charged. You can have much better alternatives of Jap food in Brussels and forget...

Sushi taken out - literally - from the fridge. The staff is nice but overall our dinner has been dreadful. We are not even sure how this place can be at 4.8 stars at the time I write this review.

Saturday night, no one in sight. Empty restaurant. The amuse bouche was some cold rice noodles, a cauliflower and some seaweed. Quite terrible. The Miso soup may have been an homemade one ( with fish) but not good. The fish flavor was overwhelming, borderline unpleasant. The sushi was OK at most.

I'm really sorry for the owner and the staff but the service you provided (showing us that you were taking everything from the fridge) was just terrible. At least close the curtains and don't show it to...

This point had been on my agenda for quite some time. While walking through a small street, I decided to give it a try. From the window, the place appeared very minimalist, and indeed, the menu reflected the same simplicity, which I personally love. The way they designed the menus was a lovely touch.

We ordered the Sushi Menu and the Menu Découverte—both were fresh and absolutely delicious.

I gave 4 stars for the atmosphere. While it was an overall cute and cozy place, it was quite cold inside that day. Hopefully, they can address this soon, as it’s hard to fully enjoy the food when you’re rushing to leave for...
