The Palapa House — Hotel in San Pedro Town

Stayed there 2 years ago with a friend of mine from Florida... I had stayed there previously with no issues...however someone unlocked our door in the middle of the night...my 1000$ IPhone and Costa sunglasses (200$) were stolen...my traveling companion confirmed I had put my cellphone on the charger on the coffee table along with my sunglasses. I was sleeping on the couch and probably disturbed the thief because my purse on the table was undisturbed we found our front door unlocked (we had definitively locked the night before. I notified the manager to no avail ..Will not stay there again.. i'm going to be there next month in February but I'm staying at the blue Tang....Reply to your answer to my review...not being on camera means it was someone on the inside that knew where the cameras were located. My cellphone and Costa sunglasses didn't grow legs unlock the door and walk out!!! As far as my purse was concerned it was all the way across the room on the dining room table..You need to get your facts straight I didn't try to book the Palapa house...

If you’re looking for luxury, full service accommodations, Palapa House is not your place. If you’re looking for an ideally located, clean, adequately furnished rental, Palapa House is perfect!||We traveled as a family of 4 and stayed in Unit 2 (first floor king suite directly behind the pool). Our suite was spacious with a pull out sofa in the living room, dining table, full kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. ||All communication before and during our stay was clear and the response time was quick when making an inquiry. We chatted with Orlando one day while he was cleaning the pool and rearranging the pool furniture. He’s a very nice guy who takes pride in ensuring the property is kept clean.||We walked to Cool Beans, Palapa Bar & Grill, Sandbar, and two grocery stores during our stay, even at night. We felt safe but used common senses and normal precautions. We used the rented golf cart for all the other places we visited.||Would we stay here...
