Fantastic Birthday Dining Experience at Cool Beans!

We had an amazing time celebrating a birthday at Cool Beans in Belize! From the moment we arrived, the laid-back, welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a great experience. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making sure everything was just right for our celebration.

The food was absolutely delicious! We had the fish sandwich and fries, which were perfectly crispy and flavorful—definitely a must-try. The pancakes were fluffy and cooked to perfection, while the fish tacos were fresh, well-seasoned, and bursting with flavor. My friend ordered the fried lobster bites, which she enjoyed, but was surprised to find they included bacon—something to note for anyone who doesn’t eat pork.

The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. The relaxed vibe of Cool Beans, combined with its great food and friendly service, made for a memorable dining experience.

I’m not sure what the hype is around this place. The food was okay but the service is TERRIBLE! First the food- I ordered a waffle plate. It consisted of a waffle scrambled eggs and bacon. The waffle was for sure some type of mix, they gave me the smallest portion of scrambled eggs they could and two small overcooked pieces of bacon. I’ve honestly had better breakfast at McDonald’s.

The service was atrocious. I was seated by a nice guy, I placed my order including a dark chocolate latte. once my order was taken - that’s where things went down hill. It took quite a while for my dish to come out. I know it’s the Caribbean and that’s a thing. However when it did come out that is the last that I saw of the staff. First, my latte didn’t come out with my food. I had to go searching for someone for that. I ran out of water, I had to go searching for someone to get more. I was ready to go and sat there for 20 min waiting for someone to bring the check. Again I had to go searching for someone to pay. The did however bring my check out quickly. I paid and didn’t leave a tip which is a big thing for me as I tip if I get at least the BARE minimum of service. That just didn’t happen here. The only good thing...

I ordered a Hawaiian omelette and it said it was topped with green onions. I don’t like onions but I figured I would just scrape them off the top. It turns out, the onions were cooked in with the eggs. I asked them to remake it without onions. The waitress said no and walked away. She came back a couple minutes later and said they would remake it without onions.

The new omelette comes out and it has green peppers in it. I don’t like green peppers either. The first omelette didn’t have green peppers, nor did the menu say it had green peppers. I even asked the waitress if the menu said it had green peppers and she confirmed it does not. The waitress asked if I wanted them to remake it without the green peppers and I agreed. She comes back a couple minutes later and said they would not remake it because they already made it twice so it was a loss to me. I will take the blame for the first one because I should have asked for no onions but the second time was the fault of the business since they made it with something that isn’t listed on the menu. It’s ridiculous that they wouldn’t remake the omelet and said it’s just a loss for you. Very poor...
