The restaurant is gorgeous. The piano playing in the background was great. However, our waitress was not informed or helpful and didn’t even ask how things were until the end, and even then she was not really open to knowing our answer. We asked if the crazy pelican cocktail was sweet - she said no - it was like dessert!! And neither cocktail went with our food at all. Then came my filet mignon - absolutely ruined by salt. I eat beef once a year and I’m so sad I chose here to do it. The vegs were very unevenly cooked and the mushroom sauce and the gravy were sludgy and very unappealing. I couldn’t taste mushrooms in the sauce :( My husband’s pork chop was better, tho a bit overcooked. When I eventually was asked by (?) maitre d’ how the food was, I told him the steak was over salted and he did nothing but say that he’d let them know. How about a free bottle of water then? Nope. Overall, a very disappointing meal at a gorgeous venue. And choose your cocktails wisely. Red wine by the glass would be appreciated- only bottles were available...

Ok, I never review restaurants. Mainly because every day brings new experiences and your experience changes depending on your tastes and and the day you happen to visit. Today however I'm making an exception. We happened to go the the Purple Pelican with friends from the area last night. I'll say that after eating at some of the best restaurants in the Caribbean and Mexico, THIS WAS ONE OF MY BEST EXPERIENCES BY FAR! The meal was fantastic (I had the Jerk Porkchop), the service was impeccable and our host Dennis was a truly dedicated professional. We had a visit from the owner Ismail who was not only proud of his new restaurant but truly humble, giving his staff all the credit for their success. The restaurant has only been open since Nov 2022 but the servers were well trained and attentive. It this isn't the number one restaurant on the island now, it will be shortly. I urge you to give it a try soon before this new gem is discovered by the masses. Reasonable priced, great food, and the best service anywhere in San...

A night to remember!

My team (group of 16 total) and I went for a night of gathering and socializing. It was truly an amazing experience. From the very start we planned with Dennis (the Manager) and he was amazing pleasant, very helpful, coordinated the entire night for us and made the setting pop. We created a customized dinner menu which Dennis and the team definitely EXECUTED!

The drinks were on point, the appetizers were abundant, and the Thanksgiving Dinner was beyond words, the honey glazed ham, dipping with savory gravy, turkey baked to perfection, traditional Belizean Rice and Beans; made with true authentic coconut milk you tasted in very bite, that creamy potato salad, I'm truly hungry all over again!

We will be back! I'd like to personally thank Karen, Dennis, the chef and their entire team for such a night well put! Very professional and friendly! We surely picked the...

WOW! DELIGHTFUL and not to be missed!! This new restaurant served up a Fabulous combo of island vibe and classy dining. Situated in a gorgeous palapa open air dining room overlooking the lagoon—see my pics!. The entry is beautifully landscaped, the dining views at sunset are gorgeous and the waitstaff attentive and food excellent. Our party of 11 all enjoyed our main dishes. Grilled octopus, pork chops with grilled pineapple, cobb salad- everyone loved their choices. Mixed drinks were works of art. Apps were pretty good with the calamari being our table favorite. The live music was tastefully island and at the perfect volume to still enjoy conversation at our table. Prices were very reasonable for fine dining in San Pedro. We highly recommend and suggest reservations to guarantee your seat as they were packed.

This place have some great views, the place is very clean, unfortunately not a great food experience for my wife and I, Drinks are mediocre and unfortunately they didn’t have the ribeye which was the reason for us to go there since I don’t eat sea food, we did order a Cadillac Margarita and a classic mojito. We started with the bruschetta and unfortunately the bread was stale, one bite and couldn’t eat it as you see in the picture, my wife took a sip of the margarita drink and didn’t like it. I did ended paying for the drink and bruschetta since they didn’t take it off the bill, no problem. I did finish my mojito and didn’t mind paying for that, so it’s hard to say how the rest of the dishes would be however if your drinks and starters aren’t good then what can one expect of the rest of the experience.
