First of all it is a central location and it is secure.|Security 24 hours which was good. |The gardens and pool area is kept clean at all times and the staff extremely helpful and friendly.|We had room #33. It’s 3rd floor and very spacious with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. |It was clean and tidy and had everything one would need on vacation. The bed linens and towels were very nice and good quality. The view out to the docks and ocean was wonderful and we kept a door from the bathroom open at night so we could watch the sunrise from our bed in the mornings!|From what we saw pools are small in Belize, like the one at The Palms. We did not use the pool on the property but it would have been a nice place to hang out. |The staff were great and very accommodating especially Guiedo who organized us a golf cart for the week and dining reservations.|Staying in San Pedro is a bit like staying in a small working town. There was lots of places to eat close by but be mindful the traffic is busy and pavements and paths not always finished. |We loved eating at Blue Water Grill by a small beach area, Lily’s, La Palapa, and The Purple Pelican on the other side of the town (mangroves) with a beautiful sunset. |Before we arrived I researched fishing/snorkeling/lobster catching/BBQ beach lunch day tours. Got lucky to find Captain T and his son Jean (Gee) with ‘Tacios Tours’. They are on Facebook. We spent 3 full days touring around Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker on their boat with them and it was amazing catching lobster for lunch and learning about their Belize lifestyle and history. They are great with kids and taught my 10 year old daughter to confidently fish and snorkel. She cried saying goodbye from our 3rd day trip! |We took Tropic air there and back from Belize city and it was easy and rather a fun experience. Pick up by The Palms was seamless.|Don’t hesitate to stay at The Palms if you want to be in the thick of San Pedro. It really is a...
Read moreLast time we visited San Pedro, we stayed at Ramon’s Village Resort. We loved it! During this next visit, we chose The Palms Oceanfront Suites. We loved it too! It’s right next door to Ramon’s and we were able to walk next door and eat at one of our favorite restaurants in San Pedro—Pineapples. The location is close to two great ice cream shops and several great restaurants! ||We loved the room at The Palms and will return! They picked us up when we arrived on the island, via Tropic Air! The took us back upon our return! The room was clean and housekeeping was very attentive each day! We especially appreciated Sandra! The grounds are keep clean and they rack the sand throughout the day! They provide your first bottle of filtered water and we were able to buy another when we used all of it! The pool was inviting and clean! The best part was our well-furnished patio (we were on the ground level). We loved our mornings and evenings lounging at the patio table and sun loungers! They will put up a hammock by request! This was well-used and enjoyed! The views were beautiful! It’s a quiet place to stay!! The only negative is… the television remotes are a little difficult to maneuver. Alberto came over and helped give us another tutorial. By the time it was for us to leave, we had it. Ha! We will return...
Read moreMy family stayed at a hotel near The Palms on our vacation in February 2024. 3 days after arriving my husband contracted covid. My daughter and I needed to get another room and the place we were staying at had no vacancies. We were scrambling to find another place to stay that my daughter and I would feel comfortable staying without my husband. It was the height of the busy season and I was a bit panicked that we would find something where we would feel safe and was close to the hotel my husband was quarrentined at. We found The Palms and explained our situation to Ana, the lovely and helpful woman at the front desk. We were looking to stay for the remainder of our vacation which was 4 days. The hotel didn't have availibility for the 4 days however, Ana moved some reservations around to make it work. We ended up staying in 2 different hotel rooms but we didn't care. The rooms were clean, quiet, with nice views, great location to stores/restaurants/and activities, and had fantastic staff. And there was a great grocery store right next door for convenience.||If we ever come back to San Pedro, I will definately be staying at The Palms and highly recommend it to anyone coming to San...
