Avoid Angler’s…Go to Elvi’s if you’re looking for seafood. Service is amazing and some of the best crab/seafood along with amazing homemade desserts from Mrs. Elvi herself. Angler’s menu looks great, place looks cool but customer service and quality of food is one of the worst experiences we’ve had. We’ve dined in numerous places all over the world and the customer service from the waiter and manger was completely unacceptable even at a bar and grill type place. We ordered the ceviche platter and the bucket of blue crab. Ceviche was great. The bucket of blue crab was literally over boiled to the point the little tiny pieces of crab we found was literally mush (like masked potatoes mushed) We attempted to bring it to waiters attention and he immediately told us we don’t take any food back or correct cooking. Just to clarify we were not asking for it to be taken off the bill just cooked properly. We were literally served empty crab shells with tiny mush!? We even cracked open the claws in front of the server and showed them. They then took it from our table and told us we were still going to have to pay for it plus the stone crab we ordered in place of it. We didn’t even eat it! There was nothing to eat!!! I could’ve understood if we ate the entire dish then complained but this was brought to the attention after cracking into 3 crabs shells and finding mush. We asked if we could just do the stone crab in exchange and just pay the price difference. The manager told us no. We flat out told them we’re not paying for it if thay can’t correct the quality of food they serve and finally after 5 trips to the table from the manager and server arguing they brought out the stone crab but only two claws for $90 Belize $’s. Which was suppose to be like 4-6 claws. Shady business practices, horrible service and quality was awful. TAKE MY ADVICE, I’m not one to complain or leave bad reviews unless it’s absolutely ridiculous. Usually I just won’t return but this had...

Title: A Cautionary Tale for American Diners: Avoid Anglers Seafood House
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆
Date of Visit: July 2024
Our recent experience at Anglers Seafood House was nothing short of a nightmare, especially for American tourists who might be enticed by seemingly appealing offers. My party of seven was lured in by the promise of a lobster special, only to be misled and overcharged in a manner that felt deliberately deceitful.
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and informed about a special lobster offer. The waiter either misspoke or, more likely, intentionally misled us. The shocking result was a bill of over $300 per person, with an additional $80 per person added for gratuity. Such exorbitant charges are outrageous, particularly given that none of this was transparently communicated to us beforehand.
It’s essential to note that we had just endured the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl and were preparing for our next journey to Belize, still reeling from the effects and without electricity. To have our funds so ruthlessly depleted by Anglers Seafood House felt not just unfair but predatory. This establishment seems to prey on tourists, banking on their unfamiliarity with local pricing to inflate their bills unjustly.
Our attempts to resolve this issue with the restaurant’s management have been in vain. Despite repeated efforts, we have not received any response or assistance. This level of disregard for customer satisfaction and ethical business practices is alarming and deeply disappointing.
Americans, be warned: Anglers Seafood House should be avoided at all costs. The deceptive practices and lack of accountability can ruin what should be an enjoyable dining experience, leaving you with an outrageously inflated bill and a bitter taste of exploitation. Spend your money elsewhere, where transparency and customer respect are...
Read moreI’ve never left a review for any establishment on any platform, but this place was so bad that I had to do something. Worst seafood we’ve ever had and we live in a landlocked state in the US. To start, the bacon seared scallops were rubbery and that was the first sign of concern. And then we sat without food or drinks for over 20min while waiting for our main dishes. The server and other staff didn’t come to our table once during this time. Then we waited another 10min to get our drinks after we called a random waiter over to the table. We got a seafood platter and the lobster thermidor to share. The lobster thermidor was decent. The lobster and crab were inedible. The lobster was overcooked and under seasoned - we couldn’t even get it out of the shell. The crab was obviously frozen and still cold when served to us, and the texture was watery and mushy - it was inedible and smelled even worse. The garlic butter sauce that came with the lobster and crab was watery and without flavor. The fish filet was mediocre and dry. The octopus was slimy and flavorless. While attempting to eat our main dishes, the waitress didn’t check on us once. We pushed the food away and waited for service, but we had to call someone over again to request our check. We were never once asked how the food was, no surprise there. For $500 (BZ dollars), we could not be more disappointed to have chosen this for our anniversary dinner on the last night of our dream vacation.
Please do yourself a favor and go to Caramba’s or literally anywhere else instead. This place is a...
