Maris Paraty — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Angra dos Reis

I'm not sure you can find a more ideal getaway. Walking into the garden you're presented with a beautifully manicured patio, full of beautiful flowers and greenery. A refreshing looking pool and loungers waiting for resting souls.

On arrival, we were greeted by Andréa who whipped up a couple of Brazil's best caipirinhas. She got us aquatinted with our room which is on the main level and perfectly situated in front of the pool. The room is super clean and fitted with a comfortable bed, quality bedding, lovely l'Occitane soaps, and plenty of storage to unpack your bags.

The next morning there was a fresh pot of amazing coffee waiting on the table in front of our door. Pieter greeted us and asked if we were ready for breakfast. We had a specially made breakfast for our dietary needs (gluten free). There was so much good stuff!! We chatted with Pieter and Mariana for awhile who are so sweet and absolute naturals at running a BnB.

Mariana is very helpful with arranging anything you may need. She even arranged the transfer from our next stay back to Rio.

My stay here was nothing short of exceptional. The staff treats you more like a friend staying in their home than a paying customer. Everything about my stay here was exceptional. Lillian was the most welcoming hostess. She gave me tons of useful information and radiated warmth.||The pousada lies about 1 km away from the old town. You can easily walk it and the walk is very safe, day or night. Frankly I loved the location. It was far enough away from the old town to be nice and quiet but close enough that getting there wasn't a hassle.||The rooms are spotless and oh so comfortable. I fell asleep every night to the sound of insects chirping and was woken up by the birds singing.||By far though the highlight of a stay at Maris Paraty was the breakfast. It is served to you at the patio of your room. I loved sipping my morning coffee while soaking in the beautiful garden views.
