We really do not get all the positive reviews of the hotel and stuff. They must be bought; no other explanation. We had a room with several issues (water was not going down the sink, air conditioning was emitting a very loud and weird noise, safe was not working so we couldn’t use) and we complained about that to the staff who said they will immediately take care of it. We came back after a whole day out and NOTHING was done. We complained again and asked to change room. The staff who made the change did not even apologise for the inconvenience caused to change a room at 23.30 after nothing was done to solve the issues from their side. He was bothered by our request like we were annoying him.
The rooms are very old, not very clean and you can hear people listening to music or the tv from other rooms.
It is in Copocabana but basically where there is a favela so does not feel safe around if it’s not on the beach during the day.
The rooftop and pool are small and do not look very clean. We didn’t use them due to this.
We would definitely NOT recommend this hotel. Very expensive for the extremely low quality it offers. It seems more like a hostel than a hotel. Don’t trust the good reviews. They are fake 100%. I wish we chose...
Read moreThey just try to fool their hostages! If possible, don't go to this hotel. The location is nice though.
We stayed some nights there and the location of the hotel was great. Nevertheless, we wanted to check in before the time and they have no defined policy of earlier check in! They wanted to charge us R$20/hour of earlier check in, eventhough the room was free and we would not stay there and just wanted to leave the luggage. When we said we wouldn't pay that much, they went down to R$10/hour. Why to have such a policy? To try to get as much money from the hostages as you can?
The rooms were very loud as in almost every room you have a shared wood door to the next room. It gives you no privacy and it bothers to sleep.
The terrace you can only use it until 20h00 or 22h00, which is very annoying. We wanted to have some snacks there and enjoy the view in the evening, but it was not possible due to the time limitation.
The breakfast is ok but not that good as you don't have much variety.
Overall, it is ok if the prices are very good but I wouldn't...
Read moreThe wifi did not work in the rooms, or in the dinning room for breakfast. I barley worked in the lobby. Every time we would ask about the wifi we would get a different excuse. The first was that they will send someone to our room to fix it... no one came. The next day they said they were having a wiring problem and be fixed my noon... still nothing. The third day, there was a bit of rain and they said the rain is causing the bad connection. By the fourth day, we asked again and said that we heard so many excuses we just want to know if we are going to get wifi, so that we can get work done and not have to go to a Starbuck, the receptionist said "I don't know". Besides the Wifi being a complete joke, the elevators were death traps and took sometimes 10 minutes to arrive. They would close abruptly before everyone can get it, that we were all a bit scared to get in them. The hotel does have a beautiful view from the room and an ok breakfast... but besides that I wouldn't stay here...
