Where do I start! The first thing I would like to mention is the quality of the room was very very poor. We booked the Executive Quad Room as we looked at the facilities that would be in this room, but the majority of them wasn't included. According to the booking.com website, the room facilities (which are guaranteed) are as follows:||||Boasting a balcony with views - of a Wall!!||Air Conditioning - Yes||Desk - Yes||Ironing Facilities - No, and wouldn't be any space to put it up!||Seating Area - A chair next to the desk...Seating area?||Washing Machine - No||Private entrance - A door at the top of the stairs next to other rooms...Private?||Hardwood/Parquet floors - Maybe||Tumble dryer - No||Wardrobe/Closet - Yes||Shower - Yes but no hot water, also tap didn't work on the sink||Hairdryer - No||Toilet - Yes||Bathroom - Yes||Additional Toilet - No||TV - Yes||Computer - No||||Bed Size(s): 1 single bed, 2 double beds. - No Single Bed||||As you can see form the above, the vast majority of facilities which are guaranteed by booking.com weren't available. ||||The biggest frustrations we had was the lack of space. We were expecting a minimum of 3 beds, as advertised but we only had 2 beds, of which, one of these was just a mattress on a very dangerous top bunk! We also had very few lights, a very poor battery powered safe which stopped working (due to the batteries dying!) and a cold shower.||||Due to all the above, we had no option but to leave the hotel after the first night and seek alternative accommodation. We found a hotel next door which we checked in to and checked out of the Pousada De Bruna. We kept the keys for an additional night as we needed to ensure we could find alternative accommodation and then returned these on the Monday morning. To our amazement, they had already accepted that we had checked out and had already advertised our room as available on Booking.com website for the rest of our stay!!||||We were booked in for 6 nights during the world cup and we paid over £500 a night for the room. The hotel directly next door (Hotel Atlantico) is a bit dated but 100 times better than this place.||||I have video's that I can share if anyone wants to see the room we endured for a single night! Please do not stay in this place as if you have any sort...
Read moreI did stay during the World Cup so maybe the prices were slightly inflated.||For the price I'm not sure you can categorize this as an budget hotel - but maybe that's the best you're going to get for Rio.||I don't recommend the small single room - I didn't get to see the double rooms but maybe they were slightly better.||The single room is very small - probably around 6'5" but 6'5". It has it's own shower and toilet. Shower was good ... the toilet had one side right by the wall. So if you're going to use - limber up with some yoga moves first.||Breakfast included - cereals and pastries.||The bed is about the size of a door - in fact the bed rack was an old door. This was fixed onto the wall with a foam mattress on top.||Portable TV in the room with about 8 Brazilian channels to choose from. Large fridge in there too. The room was very clean and you could tell they had refurbished it recently.||You wouldn't want to stay in the single room unless you're on a very tight budget.||The hotel is about 10 - 15 minute walk to Copacabana Beach. Restaurants and shopping close by. One good point is that the hotel is right next to a metro stop - Siqueira Campos.||from here you can get the metro to Cinelandia and jump a taxi to Santo Dumont airport. This will more than half your cost of getting to the Airport. If you need to get to GIG then You can do this again and catch the airport bus from Santos Dumont to GIG. Saves you a few precious Reals.||Not the best hotel I've stayed in but it was very clean and did the job for 1 night.||Look into the...
