Recanto Carioca Hostel — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata do Rio de Janeiro

My friend and I stayed at Recanto Carioca for just under a week. It's out of the way on Ilha da Gigoia and can only be accessed by boat (costing 1 real each way, or 3 to drop you outside of the hostel) making it a quieter option than busy central Rio (where we stayed next just for the experience!) Taxi's to Ipanema/Copacabana etc cost about 40 real from Ilha da Gigoia but there are many bars and restaurants around so you won't be bored. ||The hostel has pretty views and the staff are super friendly (but don't speak good English!) Albergue excelente para quem gosta de : conhecer pessoas, contato com a natureza, de tranquilidade e de ficar em lugares tão ou mais especiais que os principais pontos turísticos.||||Com um ambiente de praia, de bar e com redes espalhadas em vários lugares da casa, o albergue é perfeito para descansar da rotina e para conversar. Tudo isso com uma vista fantástica da Ilha da Gigóia, o lago e seus morros que parecem um desenho quando o céu está sem nuvens.||Passáros diversos passam em bando|| toda hora.||||Como chegar? ||||Praia do Pepe - Avenida Afonso de Taunay- Passarela- dobre a direita ao descer da passarela- entrar entre a Unimed e Posto Shell - pegar lancha e pedir para descer no albergue recanto Carioca. ||||3 reais a travessia.||||Wifi muito boa.||||As proprietárias do lugar além de serem gente finas cuidam com muito carinho do lugar.||||Muito Linda e manhosa a Diva...
