The location is great. It is located right across the street from one of the many beaches of Ilhbela (Itaguassu Beach.) It has a little kiosk on the beach with chairs, tables, food and drinks so that is convenient. To get to the hotel you drive through the busier part of the island and cross a small bridge. Basically the bridge separates one of the busier parts from a more secluded part of the west coast of the island. I enjoyed that because the hotel was quiet and the street wasn't too busy and neither was the beach. So the location is wonderful.||||The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was great. We showed up without a reservation and the price of the room was cheaper than what I had seen online and what they had previously emailed me. That was a nice touch.||||The rooms could use an update. They are a small walk from the restaurant area but that was nice because they were secluded. Our room was clean but everything was fairly old. The shower had some stains as well as the sink. The TV was very old and didn't get a lot of channels. The fridge still had the previous guests food in it. We tried to use wi-fi and for the first couple of days could not connect anywhere. finally on our last day they must have fixed it because it worked just fine. The walls to the rooms are very thin and we could hear EVERYTHING from the room next to us.||||What I thought was most strange about this hotel was that there really was no front desk/reception area. When we checked in we found the restaurant and a server got the manager from the back. They checked us in at the restaurant cashier table. Since there is no front desk there are hours of the day when nobody is available. The restaurant is closed until about noon. When the wi-fi wasn't working the morning there was nobody to talk to. We needed more towels but it was late and the restaurant was closed so nobody was around. when we were checking out it was about 8:30am and we had to ask the woman working the breakfast how to check-out. She went in the back and got the manager and she opened the restaurant in the front for us to come in a check-out (The breakfast is in another room which is not the main restaurant.) It just seemed very strange. Yes it is a small hotel but I think there should be a reachable employee at all times at a hotel. Maybe there was someone there all the time but there is no way for guests to know how to reach them if the restaurant is closed.||||For the price we paid the hotel was fine, but it would be great if they updated the rooms a bit and changed the way they manage the facility. ...

Read moreUsually I don’t write comments on hotels. if I go to some nice ones I feel lucky if I encounter bad ones I feel just bad luck. but here this time in Ilhabela Deck, I truly feel welcomed. And the communication with Aline and Estefany definitely is pleasant and efficient. They treated me as a friend and they help me on basically everything I could ask for during the trip. they were very nice, kind and patient, they made me feel this trip is being well taken care of and I don’t need to worry about anything. what they have done is beyond what a hotel offers. Besides, the food here is really high class comparing to other restaurants on this island. And the room and restaurant service are both excellent and truly polite. The team really made me feel they are well trained and they understand the need of the guests. The days I stayed were a bit windy and cold, but staying here is warm.
