I had a favorite hotel in the Perdizes area of Sao Paulo that I consistently stayed at when I was there (3-4 trips a year) that converted to an office building in Fall of 2016 which left me scrambling to find a new hotel in that area. Be Hotel came with good recommendations on a handful of sites so I took a chance. I was very pleased. I was there for a total of 7 nights and 8 days and could not have been happier with the service, location, ambiance and really comfortable room. The hotel does not have a fitness center but you get passes to a gym that is 3 doors down. You can walk to many restaurants and shopping centers and the breakfast buffet that is included is quite nice with some made to order options the staff will cook for you upon request. The rooftop lounge is quite nice. I highly recommend it and will stay there again when I return to Sao Paulo. The only issue when I was there was the AC which kept shutting off and had to be restarted by the front desk. It has something to with the local power grid. The room was always cool and it was just a...
Read moreAmazing little boutique hotel with a cozy rooftop area where you can get a decent city view of the neighborhood at night. It's about the only accommodations I found that had rooftop view in the price range. The staff were so helpful and nice. Most speak English pretty well but I tried some Portugues which I think they appreciated. A girl working the front desk (forgot her name) helped me order a pizza one night from an amazing Italian restaurant close by. She called them up and told them my order in Portuguese and the hotel address. I also selected a grab and go bottle of wine from the snacks area, and she wouldn't let me use a plastic cup stacked up by the sodas. She actually ran upstairs to kitchen and brought down a big stemmed wine glass for me to use. That's great service!
My only suggestion to hotel would be to put some rugs on the hallway/stairwell area floors to mitigate echos when people are coming and going, as it can get loud if your in the first room from elevator. Highly...
Read moreWe stayed one night after traveling by bus from Rio de Janeiro. The hotel is located in an area with a number of restaurants within walking distance. It's about a 20-minute taxi ride from the bus station. Our room was neat and tidy. We had a king bed with extra pillows and blankets available. The AC was great and the free wifi signal was robust. Although our room on the fourth floor faced the street, there was no traffic noise after 11:30 pm. Breakfast was included and available starting at 7:00 am. It included meats, cheeses, fruit, juices, cereals, yogurt, breads, cakes, coffee, hot milk, and tea. One of the hotel staff spoke English, which was a great help since my Portuguese is minimal. The hotel called a taxi for us the next morning and told the driver where we needed to go. The taxis in São Paulo are metered so we didn't need to worry about being...
