Blue Tree Premium Paulista — Hotel in Região Imediata de São Paulo

Booked a deluxe double at this hotel twice in Dec'24. One thing I quickly realised, this is definitely NOT a 4-star establishment. More like a 3-star. Rooms were clean but basic. The only plus point is its location. If we hadn't already prepaid for our room, we would have stayed elsewhere on our return to Sao Paulo.

Glaring issues include;

1. No in-room kettle nor coffee (but they have tea bags?). I had to ask the front desk to provide me with a kettle on both occasions.
2. A balcony, but with locked doors. Why? Are balcony falls a serious guest issue in Sao Paulo?
3. During our second stay, our room cards didn't work after returning from a day trip. Went downstairs to reset our cards, but still encountered the same problem. Went back down again to get help, and was subsequently told our room's door lock was faulty. We had to change rooms.
4. In the "new" room, the aircon remote wouldn't work. Decided to swap the remote from the "old" room instead.
5. The in-house Wi-Fi worked for my phone, but not my tablet. Had to bring down my tablet to the front desk for IT support to get it connected.

Special mention to front desk staff Julia for her help with the above issues during our second stay. She was also one of the few staff who could communicate with us in English....

Horrible hotel. I stayed there 5 nights. Today since 6pm ( now its 11pm) there is no electricity in the room, they cant say when it will be fixed, and they dont offer a solution. I arrived early, and when I arrived, I gave the hotel my British passport. I am a dual citizen. While waiting for my room, apparently someone in the reception stalked me and put my other nationality information in the check in cart, when I pointed that out to them they said nah! My declared official travel document was apparently not good enough for them, and it is a data breach! After 11 hours flight,I arrived the hotel around 7am, and they made me wait until 2pm for check in. I was waiting in the lobby while other people were checking in, and at 2pm when I asked if my room is ready, they said my bag is already in my room. No one told me when it was ready. They kept me waiting in the lobby for hours. 4.The room is advertised as it has balcony, the balcony is locked. No use of balcony. They forgot to put shampoo and conditioner in my room 2 days, and they cleaned the room after 5pm one day. I dont recommend this...

We travel in a group of 4 and find the hotel clean and its location very convenient close to many shops and restaurants. The rooms are quite spacious and the facilities are more than adequate for the price. A little thing that bothers us is one particular staff called And**. At first he gave us 2 rooms when we had booked 3. Apparently not paying attention to what we explained to him, he repeatedly messed up which guests should go into which rooms. Then the room keys and wifi passwords were all mixed up. When I asked for clarification he just said "a moment please" without getting back to me. Though he did not exactly spoil our stay in this otherwise pleasant hotel, it was a rather unnerving experience. Honestly I have not encountered such incompetence for a very long time having stayed in many hotels around the world. I hope this is just a single bad apple among the hotel staff, otherwise I suggest the management devote more attention to...
