I was pleasantly surprised by how nice and in expensive this hotel is. I stayed here 3/18-20/2016 and the hotel was $130 real away from airport (GRU) and across street from Luz park. It was really nice. The room was huge and the hotel was very clean. I stayed in room 1404 which is a corner room and gad great view of Luz park. The air conditioning worked great and there was lots of noise from it at night. The tv mad this loud echo noise but I hardly used it.||||I mainly just slept in this room. The maid was really nice and the breakfast buffet was good. The eggs were way to runny sometimes but there are lots of choices. I love the chicken soup that they had every morning at breakfast. ||||I was not impressed that they had a buffet for every meal as the food was really gross and un flavored. It was $45 real for the buffet and they charge $10 real service fee plus $5 real for water. So over priced for the terrible quality of food. I would recommend walking down the street before I would eat from that buffet for any meal besides the free breakfast buffet. the hours of the breakfast buffet is 0630 to 1000 Monday through Friday and 0700 to 1030 on weekends, They have a cool coffee machine assortments of hot teas and juices. They had limited fruits and breads and cakes. Lunchmeat and cheese tray and gross hot dog looking suasages. It was very bland.||||The beds were very comfortable and there was so much space in the rooms. The room itself had a big closet with a nice safe inside it that was also free. I took lots of pictures of the room and will add them on here later.||||I did notice one odd thing here. At Breakfast on Saturday morning I noticed a large amount of transgender male to females staying at the hotel. I love them but it left me wondering if there was a convention in town. I later saw one prostituting in luz park later that day. ||||I noticed a large amount of Asian travelers in the hotel as well. It seemed like a very diverse group of guests and staff. I love that. I only speak English and a majority of the staff spoke really good English and were very helpful. ||||I would definitely stay at this hotel again as it is safe and the staff is amazing and very helpful. I asked for a map of the city and where are the best places in the city to see. The map had everything on it including metro stops. 2 different metro stops are really close by. Luz station is the closest and right next...
Read moreThis hotel is across the street from luz park 2 blocks from luz metro/train terminal. It is close to the meuseum and another metro is with in walking distance. I took metro everywhere to site see. From GRU airport it was a $130 real taxi ride each way. ||||The hotel itself is very nice. The area around it is questionable. The staff were really nice and speak several languages. I speak english and i was able to communicate easily with 90 percent of the staff easily. I think the maid only spoke portugeese. I talked to 4 front desk staff, 3 bell boys, bartender, and 3 wait staff who all spoke great english. Very impressive for Brazil and a cheaper hotel. ||||The hotel room was amazing it was huge seemed like 600 sq feet, king size bed, great air conditioning, huge bathroom, very comfortable mattress, great linens flat screen tv with about 60 different channels. Lots of 110 watt plugs (usa) awesome views from windows of luz park. Minibar was stocked and snacks on desk. The charge for these items seemed high. ||||The rooftop pool was nice but the water looked murkey. The gym on roof was nice. The elevators were rarely working one always seemed to not work. The spa on second floor is for men only and was nice costs $33 for guests of the hotel. I wish i went to spa for service but i was too busy. ||||All in all this hotel is worth alot more than i paid per night and i would definately stay here again. Very safe hotel that is close to a great park...
Read moreFor business I usually stay in an affordable hotel that has a clean and tidy room with a great bed and a warm shower.||||Luz Plaza meets my standards, and for the price its an ok hotel that i can recommend to anyone.||||Yes, there are some drug users on the street at night, but then again, if you really want to go out at night for some clubbing you are not in the right area of the city anyways.||||This hotel is smack in the middle of Korea town which knows some great restaurants which I recommend going to.||||Breakfast is good in this place, avoid lunch and diner as it was not to my liking.||||Will come here again in the future as it is a convenient location to meet with my...
