Brazilian Art Gallery — Attraction in Região Imediata de São Paulo

We were there on the 23rd of January 2020 to buy some Brazilian art for our home in Tasmania as well as presents for a couple of friends and relatives. This place has blown our mind! We were overwhelmed by the number of stunning artwork. And the variety, oh the variety! So many different pieces, materials, styles, from several artists from different parts of Brazil. Incredible! Tina assisted us on finding exactly what we were looking for. She's fantastic and made sure we had the best experience and let us take our time. We were also very lucky to meed the owners (Claudia and her lovely mum), the visionary women behind this gem. My advice to people looking for unique genuine Brazilian art is to prioritise visiting the Brazilian Art Gallery and making sure you have at least two hours to spare! Beautifully curated store and a highlight of our time in SP. It was an absolute pleasure to spend the morning shopping and chatting with the owner Claudia (who is fluent in English). Third generation owner of her family's business, she personally travels around Brazil to acquire pieces from artisans who she has now known for decades. We purchased ceramics, a block print, wooden figurines, and jewelry. Knowing that we were traveling, all our pieces were securely packaged at the store (and everything made it home safely). Do not think that you can make your choice in 10-15 minutes! You’ll fall in love with all the items and will definitely spend 1-2 hours around amazing artifacts of indigenous life!
