As a group of 12 we had sole occupancy of the chalet over 5 rooms, All were comfortable and well equipped to rest our weary heads after covering plenty of miles on the piste and sampling the many drinking establishments into the early hours.||||From the second we arrived, we were all made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. All kit and lift passes were handled by Tosh who was on hand to help with any questions people had throughout the week. Nigel and Tosh were very flexible with any pickups or drop offs, even collecting our kit so we could Apres into the night. ||||The food was homely, plentiful and delicious, we decided to miss an evening meal and move it to another day which wasn’t any trouble for Glynis. The added touch of the freshly made cakes everyday made by Glynis was something we looked forward to.||||The honesty bar and tv/dining room was an active hive for our group, whether chilling out watching Youtube on the tele waiting for our evening meal, or starting one of the many nights in Stag Do fancy dress, Glynis, Nigel and Tosh were always around to join us for a drink or 3, join in with our story telling and providing us with some local knowledge.||||Having a mixed group of Skiers and a Boarder, Bansko had everything we needed, the Intermediates/experts didn’t get bored which was an initial worry (possibly due to the 2 day snow dump changing conditions) and the first timers progressed from the ski road to blues by mid-week. All the hire kit was brand new this season and the gondola and lifts are fairly new and as you would have expected at any French ski resort.||||All in all, we had a great stay at Devonshire Lodge which exceeded our expectations, this was definitely down to the hospitality and that we felt like part of the family during our stay. ||||A quote from one of the group in the taxi home sums up our recommendation "Shall we just copy and paste this holiday...

Read moreI’ve not done a Tripadvisor review before but after such a fantastic stay at Devonshire Lodge I felt I must.||||From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble and Nigel happily dropped us up to Chalin Valog every morning at a time to suit us all so we could avoid the gondola queue and picked us back up in the afternoon if needed. Coming back to Glynis’s delicious homemade cakes was something we all looked forward to! They recommended a great restaurant up the mountain (Stevie G’s mountain bbq...a must if your in Bansko) and even met us there and had lunch with us one day. ||||The rooms are large, warm and spotlessly clean and the outdoor hot tub is a real bonus when you’ve been on the slopes all day. The honesty bar run by Nigel is also a welcome extra. ||||Monty the chef along with Glynis produced the most amazing food. Choice of eggs in the morning and 3 courses in the evening. I can honestly say Monty produced some of the best meals I have ever eaten. My daughter is a very fussy eater and there was nothing that she didn’t happily tuck into. ||||Not forgetting Tosh who had our lift passes ready and waiting when we arrived and helped us collect our ski equipment the next morning and made the whole process a lot less stressfull. ||||From start to finish the food, accommodation, hospitality and effort put in by the whole team was fantastic and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back again. ||||Thank you all for an...
