We booked this hotel as a part of a package ski deal, knowing it would be “basic” |The room was tidy and clean, had a working fridge and balcony access and was serviced most days. The bathroom had a bath with a shower over it, not a problem for us, could have done with a deep clean / refresh, and we did have to ask for more toilet paper on 2 occasions. |On arrival the reception staff wasn’t chatty, gave us our room key and that was it, no information about breakfast/ spa/ ski storage etc. however on our last day the same gentleman went out of his way to provide us towels, hair dryer, suitcase storage, access to changing rooms etc so we could squeeze in a few more hours skiing. |Breakfast is breakfast… hot and cold buffet options, exactly what I expected for the price. One thing to bare in mind is breakfast starts at 730, so if you’re aiming to be at the gondola for 8 then this is quite limiting, but sounds like lots of the hotels have the same “problem” |The hotels location is good, short walk to the gondola and main town, no issues with noise etc and we had a front facing room. While you would have to walk with your equipment, lots of the ski shops actually keep your equipment overnight so wasn’t a problem for us that there was no minibus transfers etc. |The spa was the thing that put this “budget” hotel above than some of the others we looked at, post skiing it was fantastic, 2 saunas and steam room in action while we were there, opportunity to have a swim or relax in the hot pool. While like some other areas of the hotel it could do with a refresh it was the highlight of the hotel. |All being said we would 100% stay at this hotel again on a...

Read moreWe stayed at the Tanne Hotel during our 9 day ski vacation. All in all we took up 5 rooms, which were neat and welcoming, with a feeling of cleanliness overall. I was there with my wife and 4 year old and it was great for us.||||The ski lift was within walking distance (which didn't matter much since it couldn't get you anywhere, due to the number of people, but that's another story for another time) and there was ample parking for all guests.||||The real highlights of the place were the Spa area, which included a pool, a jacuzzi, several saunas, massage, showers and lounge chairs, and the restaurant.||||In fact, the restaurant deserves its own paragraph. Large and welcoming, the staff was professional and always ready to pick up on us needing them. While English wasn't a string point of the waiters, they spoke more than enough to never get our orders wrong and they were super friendly and welcoming.||||And the food - oh my god the food. If you're not from the Balkans, you owe it to yourself to try the soups here, as well as the lamb and the sausage, but really, everything on the menu was brilliant.||||I give this place a solid 10. Thanks, Tanne, for the great base of operations for...
