Chose the hotel for the good price over a very high season and it's relative proximity to the ski lift. I was a littte worried by the negative reviews and was apprehensive for our upcoming stay. Glad everything I have read turned out to be not true.||||The hotel is recently renovated and although there are some flaws with the quolity of building, they are common in all hotels in Bansko. ||||Location: The hotel is located in 10 min walk (15+ in a ski boots) to the ski lift area, on a main street, but still rather quiet. There is a supermarket close by.||||Room: We got a room on the last floor, resemblng an attick. It might be uncomfortable for taller people, but when careful enoungh we found it to be just fine. Two twin beds, small sofa, wardrobe (extra blankets to be found there) and a bathroom. The TV was on the smaller size so a litthe hard to watch it from your bed. The bathroom was spacious, with a shower cabin that didn't leak (we had bad experiences with other hotels in Bansko). ||||Cleanliness: Although it was written the bed linen and towels were to be changed after 2 days, we didn't see it happen for the 4 nighs we spent there. Apart from that the room and the common areas were cleaned daily. ||||Amenities: The breakfast was served from 8:00 to 10:00 and the dinner from 19:00 to 21:00. Both were buffet style and with plenty to choose from, ith fresh veggies and fruits on every occasion. There were no repetitions for the 4 nights we stayed there and the food was delicious.||The hotel offers plenty to do in your free time - swimming pool, pool table, a nice lobby bar. There is a ski storage room and a complimentary shuttle to the gondola station.||The ski shuttle brings you twice (at 8:30 and 09:30) to the lift, and brings you back (I think at 16:00 and 17:00). I found that to be a little odd timings, but as the bus carried max 4-5 people per way, I suppose others were either late sleepers, or preferred to walk. ||There is a small parking onsite.||||Service: The hotel staff was very attentive and they couldn't do more to accommodate us.||||Overall a great ski hotel if you don't mind a little walking. I might stay here again for the fair price and if nothing closer to the ski lift...
Read moreEverything was ok, starting from the moment of accommodation, until check out.||Friendly staff and ready to help you anytime, not the best English speackers. Rooms sufficiently spacious and warm as every tourist wants (thermostatic faucet at the radiator), spacious bathroom.||The lobby is spacious enough and welcoming.||Sufficiently varied and tasty food. Normally, everyone will find the way they like at every meal. Several friends arrived late after the restaurant was closed. However, they were served without any problem with an extremely tasty dinner prepared on the spot (other than those served at the table that evening).||Swimming pool with warm and clean water.||Ski room sufficiently spacious and well heated, with direct access from the street.||Parking only for 10 cars, but there are enough public parking places in the sorroundings of the hotel.||The hotel is well located for the winter vacation, a few minutes walk to the gondola lift and to Pirin Street (the main shopping street). For a summer stay, a location in the central area (in the City Hall area, the city park or the monastery) is recommended, exactly on the opposite end of Pirin Street.||It is the fourth 4th 4 star hotel we stayed in in Bansko. I think this hotel is the best. Compared to the hotels in RO, in Bulgaria the same number of stars offers less than our similar one (4 stars in BG = 3 stars in RO).||Our group (13 people), unanimously, appreciated the hotel as being of note 8, which for Bansko is so good..||Room cleaning is done with uncertain frequency.||Occasionally there are periods when there is no tap water. ||It may happen that when you arrive at the table later, you may not even find all the available options at first momments, but you may be surprised to find what the first arrivals...
Read moreI am writing this review 1 day before I leave. Me and my family came here for the holidays' season and this hotel got us absolutely frustrated. First of all we stayed at the 3rd floor and there was no elevator to our floor, so we had to carry our heavy bags by ourselves, plus we had to go through the whole staircase everytime we wanted to go somewhere, which is something I've never experienced in a hotel before... not even the cheapest ones. Thanks for the expensive leg day I guess. We booked one of the supposedly suites and the room was not as practical as it should be for 4 people. The whole room was very big but pretty empty for a suite and it was lacking a lot of basic things such as hangers for our towels in the bathroom, a refrigerator or a second small closet to put some of our things since it only had one tiny closet in the entry way that would barely fit some of our coats. Furthermore, the breakfast and dinner were really decent and definitely not worth their money. Lastly, the staff wouldn't clean our room if they weren't asked to, they didn't change our towels nor bring us some soap to wash ourselves and after 3 days of using the same towels over and over again when we had to ask them to change them since they wouldn't do it on their own they said that there's a problem with the cleaners and the entire hotel run out of clean towels. Also some power outlets were not working in our room and the internet connection was extremely bad. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone, especial for its price. Maybe they should consider switching to a cheap Motel, then it would be worth the 5 stars.
Thanks for your time to anyone...
