We decided to change the room and get the appartment wich had a very nice balcony where you could sit in the evening wich was very nice. The bed was extremely hard and was not sleepable at all, but that they fixed the next day wich we found was extremely nice and it gives them some credit. The breakfast was extremely bad, the buns was so hard that if I would hit someone in the head with them, I would actually knock them out for about 10 minutes. Sometimes when we asked them kindly they got something fresh, One day the ham was so old we sent it out as it was smelly. The coffee machines was more or less never working right, we got told by one of the workers we could fix it ourself. In the room there was a water cooker they never filled up with tea or coffe so we bought our own. One morning we had forgot to buy and went down and my girlfriend told them that it would be nice if they could fill up with some coffee in the room, and she was told in a rude way that coffee powder is not incl. the manager had only given it the first night to be nice. There was a cockroach in the bathroom it took two days before day took it away. They where very proud of their new restaurant, asked 5 days for a menu but they never manged to show one, so we gave up trying to eat there. Then it was the free parking, always when we came home in the evening the parking spaces of the hotel was taken. Because the guard was sent home because of the corona, to save money. Most of the cars was from people that was not guests in the hotel. What we got as an answer from the guy in the reception was that we should park our car on a public parking and to get up at 07.30 to either move the car or pay the parking space on the stree,t cause we could not pay for it in any way in the evening. One morning after ca. 14 days it was enough and we stayed another 6 weeks in a different hotel. The manager can be extremely friendly at the start but she gets extremely rude and unfriendly. Sorry to say but its just not good enough. NB! They always have atlest one person to look after the buffet, one of the mornings a child lost alot of cornflakes on the floor it was lying there for one hour as long as we there, the workers just let it there didnt care. I really dont know what they...
Read moreStayed here for one night as part of an organised tour in August 2022. ||||We arrived at the hotel during the early evening and it’s fairly easy to find as it’s right in the middle of the city, facing onto the main square. ||||Check in was okay but not the quickest. We left our passports with the staff whilst we went up to the room before heading out again and some people’s still weren’t ready 10 minutes later. They also have only 1 small lift for the hotel so be prepared to wait or take the stairs. ||||Our twin room on the third floor was okay if a little compact but fine for one night. We had a complementary bottle of water included with the room. The beds were comfy and the room also had a flatscreen TV, air con (which worked well), and a chair in the corner. We had a view of the square over the trees outside which was nice. ||||The bathroom was also compact but okay. It had a hair dryer plus shower, toilet and sink. The shower drained into the centre of the floor so the floor did get a bit wet as the drain wasn’t that quick to get rid of the water. The towels were clean and thick but there was no hook to hang clothes up so we had to use the towel rail. The toilet paper was also not the best ply. ||||The wifi was quick and had good signal range. Breakfast was good - a good selection of cold meats and cheeses, fruit etc, as well as warm eggs, bacon and sausage, bread and pastries. The juices were good and so was the coffee. Location-wise you couldn’t be closer to the city centre. ||||Overall, a good stay for one night but some of the niggles above might grate more over a...
Read moreThis hotel was pleasant, but not categorically exceptional.
The service was very friendly. The receptionist was helpful. The whole hotel, room included, was spacious and clean. The decor was aesthetically pleasing. There were some good options for breakfast, including fresh fruit (though overall the breakfast was lackluster for a 4 star hotel.) The view was nice. We received slippers and a really big bottle of water. We were also not rushed to check out, which was very appreciated given that we arrived quite late that night.
Some of the not so great things were: we had to pay for parking, we paid for a room with a queen sized bed; the bed did not appear to be queen sized. The breakfast overall was very subpar. I saw in a different review that someone complained about the juice being bland. I thought they were just trying to find something negative to complain about. I didn’t tell my husband about that review and his first comment at breakfast was about how bland the juice was lol. In the bathroom there were 3 types of shampoo. It would have been nice to have conditioner and lotion, rather than three bottles of shampoo.
Overall the hotel was pretty decent. But given the price relative to other options in the area, and all of the cons, I would probably book...
