I recently had an amazing culinary experience at Happy Bar & Grill, and I genuinely can’t stop thinking about how delicious everything was! From start to finish, the meal was a delight – both in flavor and presentation.
We ordered a variety of dishes to share, and each one stood out in its own way. We started with appetizers: the tzatziki, fish roe spread (icre), and the cream cheese with sun-dried tomatoes were absolutely delicious – fresh, flavorful, and perfect for dipping with warm bread. The sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside, soft inside, and nicely seasoned.
For mains, we had an incredible selection: the grilled octopus was tender and perfectly charred, full of flavor without being chewy. The sushi platter was beautifully presented and fresh – truly impressive for a non-specialized sushi place. The grilled fish was juicy and well-seasoned, served with a refreshing tomato and cheese salad that reminded me of summer in the Mediterranean.
One of my favorite dishes was their version of traditional meatballs (kiufte) – perfectly spiced and grilled, full of authentic Balkan flavor.
Everything tasted incredibly fresh and was clearly made with quality ingredients. The portion sizes were generous, and the balance of flavors in each dish showed real attention to detail. It’s rare to find a restaurant with such a diverse menu where every single item is prepared so well.
The service was also excellent – fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. The staff made us feel welcome and helped with great suggestions.
Happy Bar & Grill truly lives up to its name – great food, great vibe, and a happy experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be returning to try even more...
Read moreWe came for a quick trip to Burgas, Bulgaria and prior to coming here we had experiences with the Happy restaurant chain from around 2-3 years. The experience overall was disappointing, driving 500~ish kilometers for great, fresh food. The first day we ate there the food was fresh, hot and very good, the next day it was the exact opposite, the experience was dreadful. The waiting time for waiters and especially the lack of English speaking personnel leads to misunderstandings. When the food finally came, it was horrible, uneatable, the fish soup was cold and the taste was sour (it was clearly not fresh), the burger and fries were really dry and stiff (not to mention cold), everything was dreadful besides the drinks. Personally ordered fried calamari, they were cold the fat was dry and the smell was off. They are very inconsistent with their meals recently, saw other reviews describing the same thing. I hope it will be resolved soon, I found out in this current stay here in Burgas that this inconsistency is common occurrence lately. Overall TL;DR the food was cold, not eatable, far from fresh and the staff (including managers) don't speak English at all, you have to point at things in order for the waiters to not miss something on your order or mess it up. Would not recommend going, not the authentic good Happy experience, more like "Sad" from...
Read moreIN ATTENTION OF THE OWNER OF HAPPY-RUSE( PYCE)! The positive reviews usually are for the good food but the negative reviews tell the whole story. I am a Google local guide level 6, I’ve been in thousands of places but I was never more disappointed when choosing a well known restaurant than I was today at Happy, especially because it’s a location recommended by one of my friends for the good food. It was very crowded, however, we decided to wait. At some point we found out about a waiting list and put our names on it. After 45 minutes we were the next in line based on the list, however, for some reason the next person was invited to skip us without any explanation, the hostess didn’t even bother to say something. We decided to leave even if we waited for so long with a very hungry kiddo. I will definitely not return or recommend this restaurant to any of my friends due to the rudeness of the staff. Oh wait, maybe if you have some cash handy when you discuss with the staff you’ll get a table. Luckily for you one star is the minimum allowed. This place is not...
