To be honest, I chose Residence House in Ruse based on the rating. And also because of the proximity to the Danube river. I was expecting a view to it and somehow, with a lot of walking around the terrace I got the view, but it wasn't what I wanted it to be.

… Very kind people - they try to help in every way, they gave me a discount, they did not hide anything in terms of details, including the missing view of the river;

… One criticism - the lock to our bathroom started to fall apart from the first push and also the door did not close tightly.

What can I say?! This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The location is great with the Danube river just 50 meters away and the Liberty Square just a quick 5-7 minutes stroll. The hotel is truly boutique and by having 3 stars I think they are a bit conservative. We have been to places where they would slam 4 stars on the wall easy for this kind of hotel. We had a junior suite with a balcony and it was very nice. Plenty space, decorated with good taste and everything looked good as new. Breakfast while it's not a buffet it is enough to get you going. But what sets this hotel apart form the others is the staff. We've been traveling quite a bit and I'm telling you, the level of service here is above most 5 stars famous hotels. This hotel is exceptional! We stayed in the luxurious room which had two levels. Included was a private balcony that wrapped around the entire building and gave us a beautiful view of Ruse and the Danube river. The upper level even had a dining table. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. Our room offered complimentary water and espresso as well as free WiFi. The air conditioning worked very well, and our hotel room alone had 3 units. Breakfast was small but good; coffee and espresso were available but without vegan milk alternatives. Laundry available at the hotel for a small fee. Hotel is located about a 5 minute walk to the city center and near many restaurants and coffee shops.
